An oasis of comfort and charm

Seated in the secluded gardens or by its swimming pool, you would not know that this charming old hotel is located right in the centre of Collioure. Our room was clean and well equipped, and opened onto a delightful outdoor space complete with fountain and sitting areas. The self-serve breakfast, taken in the large dining room or in the courtyard, offers a wide selection of foods, including hot fare. North Americans might quibble at the size of the bed and the firmness of the mattress, or even think there should be more tv channels and better WIFi available given the price of the room. But the hotel's pluses more than make up for these easily corrected defects. We are looking forward to our next stay here.
It always feels like coming home

25 years of visiting this wonderful hotel and never once a disappointment. It oozes warm and friendly atmosphere. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. It never feels like a hotel, it feels like you have just gone back home. We just wish we could visit more frequently.
Feel good hotel

Located in the center of this small town, this old mansion has been transformed in a pleasant feel good hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. My room under the roof was small but tastefully decorated and with all amenities. Pity for the dull entrance doors upstairs with a very cheap feel. There is a next door private parking, which is essential as parking is a challenge in this town. Nice buffet breakfast in the garden, but missed the cereals.
Lovely but overpriced

This is a very pretty quirky hotel in a brilliant location but we felt the whole experience was overpriced. We visited in February - well out of season - and paid over 130€ for a small room. On arrival we were told the hotel wasn’t busy and there were rooms available with a balcony and pool view so we could upgrade if we wanted. Obviously we were very pleased - until the very nice receptionist said there would be an extra charge of 40€. Really don’t know why they couldn’t offer the upgrade for free? The breakfast was OK but nothing special and certainly not worth the 16€ each that we paid. It sounds like I’m a bit of a cheapskate but actually I’m not - I just don’t like being ripped off!
Great Stay, Great Location

Collioure is a wonderful seaside town and well worth a few days visit. For us, it was small enough to be easily walkable but with enough features to want to stay, We stayed for 3 nights in mid October with good weather and smaller crowds. The Casa Pairal is perfectly located at the edge of the old town. If you are driving, you should reserve a spot at the hotel especially in high season as public parking is available across the street but limited. Others have written about finding the hotel and parking, and while it is somewhat difficult to see due to the usual small signage in France, it should not be a concern. For easiest access, drive into town and stop at the combined taxi stand, tourist train and parking lot. Walk across the street through a laneway to the front of the hotel. The staff will direct you to parking. The hotel itself was quiet with courtyard rooms away from any noise of which there was littlel Our ground floor room was above average for the class but the room was a little smaller. The garden/fountain/pool area was quite pleasant. We chose this hotel for location and a ground floor room for mobility issues and we were very satisfied. From our perspective, this is the best place to stay in Colioure.
