Okay for a Pre-Airport Stay
Opinión escrita el 25 de Septiembre de 2021
Stayed here for one night prior to a flight at the airport – which is literally a 3-minute drive away. Though the hallways seemed a bit dingy, the room itself was updated and comfortable with good hot water and water pressure. The A/C unit which was right next to the bed was pretty noisy.
At least for now, it should be noted that the on-site restaurant is closed on Sundays, though I believe it is open for breakfast seven days/week. We were there on a Sunday night and just walked across the street to the restaurant at the Crowne Plaza/Desmond and had a very good meal. We did have breakfast on-site and it was fine.
The check-in experience left much to be desired. When I walked in, there was one fellow at the front desk, and he was on the phone. He did not even acknowledge my presence. I waited for about five minutes while he kept helping someone, seemingly with an upcoming reservation, and then I went to the rest room. When I came back, he was now off the phone, but did not apologize or seem the least bit sorry for having made me wait. It certainly was not a welcome feeling.
Tapestry collection hotels are supposed to offer unique and distinctive experiences with local flavor. Not sure what was unique, distinctive, or local about this property, but if you need a place to say before catching a flight, it certainly will do.

My husband and I came to the area to visit friends and go apple picking. We had a very wonderful stay from the beginning when we checked in with Charles (Charles was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions). John was at the front desk as well and also friendly and accommodating. It was easy to check-in (note there is a $50 deposit they charge you, but assuming there's no issues, you do get it back - we were actually a bit nervous about this because there was some damage to our room from previous guests, but we mentioned it to the front desk later and were assured we wouldn't get charged for previous damage done to the room). The bed was very comfortable and room was quite spacious. While there's no microwave in the room, there is a fridge so we could keep our drinks cold, but if you wanted to heat anything up, you couldn't do so in your room. We stayed for just 1 night and right before check-out, at maybe 10:45 or so, we suddenly lost power, though I don't believe this happens too frequently and we saw several police cars driving down the road so maybe a car knocked into a pole or something. Luckily the power came back on within maybe 5 minutes or so, it wasn't a long black-out and it was daylight so opening up the shades brightened up the room enough that we were able to finish packing and check out of the hotel. If we're in the area and the price is right, we would stay again. I will note, though, that the walls are thin and you can hear people talking in the hallway, but that's true of most hotels nowadays.
Great place to stay

My friends and I stayed in 3 rooms. We all found the air conditioning extremely noisy. We had to switch rooms in one case because it was extreme. The duvet cover was also noisy - every time you moved it rustled loudly.
The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. The tile floor in the shower was very slippery.
Not as expected

Hilton does not deliver what they promise at this hotel. In terms of Covid safety, there was no attempt by many of the hotel clerks to wear face masks, nor were guests required to wear face masks in public spaces.
When we arrived, the night clerk was busy arguing with a guest who was demanding his money back. Apparently the internet was down and the guest needed to use his computer for work. The clerk was NOT handling the situation in a professional manner. Indeed, the clerk’s provocative behavior seemed aimed to incite the wrath of the guest even further. When we inquired about the internet situation, the clerk turned his nastiness on us. Very unprofessional—and unpleasant—to say the least. We, too, needed the internet for work. When we asked if the clerk could help us find another hotel with internet service, he told us that we were free to leave but it was not his job to help us in any way.
It was late when we arrived, so we ended up staying. We were booked for two nights. The internet was working the next day. But the room was not up to par in terms of cleanliness. The bathroom was not clean to standards, as far as we were concerned. We left our room late morning and when we returned, our room was NOT made up. Apparently, “ for safety reasons” housekeeping isn’t done unless you request it. What hypocrisy! Apparently, “safety”is not a priority when it comes to masks but it is a priority when it comes to housekeeping! Ridiculous!
Hilton should be ashamed to put its brand name on this hotel!
