More about the hotel
You get what you pay for.
I will say the location was good, in good proximity to restrauants, businesses, ect. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The front desk was polite and welcoming. On the negative side there was no overhead light for the room and only a a small lamp making it a very dimly lit room. There was no coffee pot or iron in the room. No microwave. No TV. Could hear the noise outside, loud guests. I supposed it is perfectly legal to charge for a minimally stained towel, but to let it slide would have gone a long way in an good hospitality review. That said, I had forgotten my makeup remover and dried my eyes with a towel which left some residual mascara on a towel. I was surprised as I have never had a miscellaneous expense charge before when staying in a hotel, save this time. I understand if it would have been a hard set stain, but there are cleaners that bring out mascara stains without a lot of effort. Restaurants do not charge for a soiled napkin, it is included in the price of the meal and should be the same for hotels for minimal soiling of a towel.
Wonderful service
We stayed for 4 nights and our stay was good. My housekeeper kept our room very clean daily all employees were very polite and welcoming. We got to enjoy and relaxing couple of day by the pool. Thanks for thegreat serviceprovided while in town.
Badly Needs Renovating
This hotel so badly needs a complete renovation both in and out. The room smelt musty and smoky, even though it was a non smoking room and there were cigarette burns in the bedspread. Everything was grubby and well worn, including sheets and towels. The room had a fridge, microwave, TV, free wifi, but there was no lockbox, no tea/coffee, no hand towels or face cloths and the bath was stained. Breakfast was poor, with the hot food looking decidedly undesirable. The juice dispenser was broken. The only redeeming feature was the staff did accept my criticism when we checked out.
Find somewhere else
The room smelled so bad when we got there I had to get Febreeze, Lysol and an air freshener. The walls are so thin we could here the neighbor having sex, wonderful when you have a kid. Roaches in the bathroom. The parking lot is never cleaned. Cigarette butts everywhere. The only good thing about this hotel is the staff was friendly and they allow pets.
I’ve slept better in tent
I booked for five nights and stayed four. The first room they put me in was in horrible disrepair and smelled of cigarettes to the point of being sick and also did not have the fridge or microwave that I payed for. The young woman at the counter was actually super nice and helpful and moved me to another room that had a fridge and microwave and smelled slightly less like an ashtray in the bottom of a trash can. However, it only had two tiny little pillows on the bed. I asked for more pillows and she looked and said she was out but ask again tomorrow. The next day, I came back from work and the room key, which already took 26 attempts of sliding it through the door lock to make it work, no longer worked at all. The asked for a new key, got one, and it barely worked as well. I asked for more pillows and the guy never once acknowledged I was asking him another question. Whatever, I was too tired to care. Day 3, I come back from work at 6:00, and low and behold, my key no longer works. I go back to the office and waited for over an hour, called the number, walked around the hotel, and never could find an employee. I ended up having to stick the key in the door jamb and pop the door open. Btw, it was very easy to pop the door if that makes you feel more secure about staying there. Day four, the first thing I do is go to the office and get a key, the dude was cool about it, gave me a key and I walk up to find my refrigerator pooped out and all of my groceries went bad. Went back to tell them, and no one was there, walk back again and find roaches running around. Day five, I left early.
