BEAUTIFUL VIEWS BUT LITTLE TO DO

We visited on an AMEX package and, while the property was very nice as were all the staff, visiting off season made our stay less than pleasant. The front desk staff was awesome and very accommodating. the AMEX package provided for an upgrade and we were given a bay front room in one of two single story buildings (Buildings 7 & 8) that are literally water front. The views and privacy were great. However, the hotel is 4 miles from the town and their advertised shuttle was not operating as it was off season nor was their restaurant open for dinner - meaning we had to have a car in order to go to dinner each night. The adjacent marina had boats, jet skis, and bikes for rent - but the rental prices were significantly higher than other areas on and off the island (i.e. Bike rental at the hotel - $16/hr bike rental in town $8/hr). To make it even less pleasant, the hotel charges a $39 "resort fee" PLUS "$39 parking" effectively adding $78 to the nightly rate. In summary, the people were great, but the location and cost made this one we will not be revisiting soon.
Still my favorite place to stay in Coronado

Had a quiet and relaxing two days mid-week before a large group was arriving for the weekend. Friendly staff, daily room cleaning service, and good food at the restaurant. The Spa and shops are open. Restaurant not open on nights with very low occupancy but can be ordered at the lounge, or get a ride into the Village for dinner. Rooms and resort well kept and very clean. Staff and guests were all wearing masks unless seated for food and/or drink. Felt very safe.

Nice & comfortable, everything you would expect from a $200 a night hotel. Although, even at that rate you can expect there to be a restaurant to eat at not a bar with coffee table and/or deli counter. Room service was also not available. Notice that the restaurants would be closed would have been nice. Had to go up the road into town to get a nice meal. I expected a beach resort and got a Holiday Inn experience. Room furniture was dated and uncomfortable. This "resort" is not worth the money, very disappointed.

Nice resort and friendly staff, the room and the facilities are very clean. we couldn't use the outdoor facilities due to the weather. there is no mini-fridge in the room and limited charging station. the location is very nice but you still need a car.
Can't Wait to Return

Thank you Loews Coronado for making our stay in San Diego one that we will remember fondly. The hotel is beautiful and the customer service from valet, to the receptionist, and cleaning staff were top notch. Our room accommodations made relaxing a breeze. We can't wait to come back again and recommend Loews to all our family and friends.
