Re-built in 1820, in the place of a castle burnt during the French revolution, this unique property was refurbished in 1998. It took the Lille designer Pierre Vandendriessche over 12 years to give this house the charm and facilities of a high-quality establishment. Guests will discover well- maintained gardens, the beautiful pool and the exiting moments created by the fireplace in the piano room while enjoying pleasant conversations. The on-site fine dining 1* Michelin restaurant serves a selection of dishes prepared by Head Chef Takashi Kinoshita who is specifically passionate about French cu...More details

Amazing food in the middle of nowhere

We came twice on our way to and back from Paris. The hotel is really in the middle of nowhere and this is part of its beauty which is really remarkable. Both times we had dinner: the restaurant is extremely comfortable and the service at very high level; food is amazing and the chef was able to slightly change the courses as menu was the same since the last time we where here ( once week before) furthermore he gave different options for our daughter. Finally the sommelier was very nice and able to let us discover now good local wines. Recommended!!
Authenticity and warm stay !

One of these beautiful oasis in the middle of nowhere, a small paradise with a full authenticity in terms of decorations, details and a cozy pool area to hear nothing but you jumping into the water and get a relax moment. It is perfectly clean, neat, spacious. Then why not 5* and not 4*? Well, this is unfortunately due to the construction itself of the house, the insulation is quite poor, specially if you sleep in room 43, the backdoor that gets you down to the pool and restaurant area is working improperly since every time someone opens it, it closes so strong that it wakes us up every time! Tiny detail, we had no shower gel in the shower. This was fixed in the moment we asked it at the reception.
Charming hotel in the middle of nowhere

This is most deceiving and delightful hotel. Completely unexpected. We stayed here for one night on the way back to the Eurotunnel crossing and wanted to break up the ride. It’s located quite far off the motorway and not an easy drive late at night, but well worth it when you arrive. A very old, rustic setting but refurbished in the most tasteful, and refined way. To the point where they hide the modern shower within a closet !! Really cool. We were blown away at how they had taken such an old building and refurbished and modernised it to a really high level and quality - and yet, it manages to remain true to its original character. Comfortable bed. Beautiful grounds. Lovely swimming pool. Well adapted and very well maintained. super nice spa. Excellent breakfast. Helpful and nice staff. All in all super nice stay. Highly recommended. Just be lucky with the weather !! NB - not recommended for people in a wheel chair. I don’t think there is a lift and mainly gravel on the grounds.
Courage for the gap

We have visited the hotel and the restaurant for the third time since 2015. The first time we were very enthusiastic about the kitchen. The Japanese marriage with French culinary art was great. The second visit was unfortunately only average. Chef Takashi Kinoshita has had a Michelin star to defend since 2018. Third visit: The menu "Emotions" (with all the offers that are on the menu) appealed to us a lot. In terms of taste, however, it was rather inconspicuous and without a profile. The Japanese influence is subject to the French cuisine. Thus the gastronomic experience no longer differs from the many other 1-star chefs. More courage would be well invested. The service is good. The hotel has seen better days as well. The reserved room is not on the 1st floor, as discussed, but on the 2nd floor, where the windows are very small. After negotiating, we will get an alternative. The "Signature" room above the restaurant reveals a messy view of the roof when the window is opened. The professionalism of the reception depends on the occupation. The personal touch is missing. Courage for the gap

My husband and I were fortunate to find this fabulous family run hotel and restaurant. After a long drive it was the perfect place to unwind whether sitting by the beautiful pool or in the gardens or walking the local countryside. Our evening meal was superb, really good and to top it all they welcome dogs!
