shocking experience
Experience in this hotel is shockingly bad, no night staff. The place is filthy dirty. I have made a complaint with no response From the hotel. I have no choice but to contact my credit card company to cancel the payment. The service they supplied was not what is advertised on the website.
Nothing like the photo's/description and no reply to complaint
We arrived at the hotel at just after midnight having driven from Perpignan - the drive took 12 hours including a couple of charging stops. We have a Tesla, and the appeal of this hotel is that is has a Tesla charging point, as well as looking like a lovely hotel on the website. The communication from the hotel regarding the late arrival procedure was very good, so I was very happy and looking forward to relaxing here for 2 nights before continuing the drive back to the UK. When walking to our room, I started to become a little concerned. There was a lot of noise coming from a group of people, but I couldn't see them. It sounded like a party, with shouting and glasses clinking. The grass area surrounding the pool was all brown and completely dead - certainly not the lovely looking green grass surrounding the pool on the photos online. We had already stayed in a number of hotels in France for 4 weeks leading up to this stay, and whilst I know that the weather is hot, I had not seen anything like this. I don't think it has been watered/maintained at all this year. Then, there was litter along the path. We came to the front door of our room to see a dirty front door situated within a dirty corridor area which had a large number of cables/signal boxes right next to it (see pictures). On opening the door, my eyes were drawn to the dirty floor (see picture), and my heart sank. I immediately told the kids to stay downstairs whilst I went to look around. Everywhere I went I could see a complete lack of hygiene - scum around the toilets, dust/crumbs in the corners, marks/scuffs on every wall, chipped enamel on toilets.. the list goes on. On top of this, I killed 1 large flying insect and 4 mosquito's whilst walking around, and that was just in 5 minutes. I took photos of all of this and have posted to support this review. We made a decision there and then that we couldn't stay here. It wasn't clean or hygienic, and with the current climate of COVID-19, I cannot understand how this level of cleanliness is acceptable. We got back in the car and decided to plough on to the UK, so the 12 hours of travel turned into 24 hours. I emailed the hotel immediately with my complaint and also the photo's that I had taken. I have requested a full refund and also an email from the general manager to explain how this is acceptable. To date, I haven't had the courtesy of a reply, hence me now posting this review. The reviews from 2019 are positive and that influenced my decision to book. 2020 seems to be very different, and the hotel doesn't seem to be keeping on top of their standards. I am not a complainer. I do my research before booking accommodation. On this 4 week trip we have stayed in 6 different accommodations, each of which has been great - and by great, I mean exactly as advertised. I don't expect anything more than that, but also I don't expect less than that, and I certainly don't expect a good level of accommodation to be dirty. The photo's I am posting with the review were taken on 4th August 2020, and if you compare these to the photos on the hotel website, you will see my issue.
Terrible night sleep and rude staff at reception!!
Having arrived at the hotel in the early hours (2.30am) after a long drive from the UK, there was a very loud alarm that was going off for several hours at the hotel. The hotel doesn't have anyone on site at night time and instead they have a phone number you can call for assistance. I had to call the number several times to get an answer and when I finally did get an answer I was told that someone will come tomorrow to sort the alarm. I pointed out that it was 2.30 in the morning and we couldn't sleep with the noise of the alarm (after a 10 hour journey this wasn't ideal, especially with two young children with us), to which the person said they will come tomorrow, ok?? It was only when I took a video showing how loud the noise was later on from our room and sent it to the assistance number that they then said they were on their way to sort the alarm out. After an hour or so the alarm was eventually turned off. I decided to send an email to the hotel as well at the same time telling them that I thought this wasn't acceptable and that they should have someone on site to sort such matters and that guests shouldn't expect to put up with such problems in the middle of the night, and I asked them to get back to me about this matter, I also included the video. I never received a reply and when I went to checkout I asked the receptionist if they had received my email to which they said, "yes, about the alarm". I then asked why I hadn't received a reply and they said "we sorted it, so it is not our problem"????? I told them that this was terrible service and that I hadn't had any sleep. They weren't interested in the slightest and were very rude. When I left the reception, the same rude receptionist said "have a nice day" in a very sarcastic manner. I would avoid this hotel at all cost due to the very rude staff there. I am unable to post a video on this review but I will try and put it on the hotel listing so people can see that I wasn't exaggerating. I get that things can go wrong but this isn't the way you should treat customers after such an event. All they had to say was sorry and get me a strong coffee to keep me awake for the first day at Disney (lol)!! But seriously, I would spend my money elsewhere due to the rude staff at this hotel.
Beautiful place
Stayed here for 2 nights for disney weekend trip. Amazing value. 15min to Disney. Rooms beautifully decorated and clean. Loved the place. Would highly recommend would definately come back. 2 big golf courses.
Quick Disney trip
My husband booked a suprise trip to Disneyland Paris for my birthday He chose this hotel as it was cheap and not too far from the park, we checked in easily enough and our room was lovely and big, it had a fridge and little kitchenette and a travel cot as requsted, we slept well and check out in the morning was quick. We didnt eat here so cant comment on the food. We only stayed one night as it was a super quick trip but we have booked to stay again in June for 3 nights to enjoy the lovely pool in the warm summer. The driver to Disneyland is super easy and we are looking forward to returning
