Good quality,budget prices

The name of the motel is Golden Hill. It may still be connected with America's Best Value Inn. It does offer a commanding view though! And it is right near the Interstate 84 exit in Danbury. So right there is a PLUS! It's very clean and simple. The management resides there,so you can check in and out at a reasonable time. It is quiet considering the location as well. If you are expecting something more you can stay at the other chain hotels in Danbury. But if you are on a budget,it is very ideal. I did not have any real issues. But the tub can be slippery,as there is nothing to prevent you from sliding. So you must be careful. Everything else is fine. There is a Gas Station/convenience store across the street. So if you need something to drink or light food, that is also a plus. An overall good experience for this traveller!

More than adequate

I found this on TripAdvisor and it suited our needs. We were in town for one night only. Immediate access to 84 is a plus. Large rooms, w mini fridge and other amenities. Comfy beds and pillows. A lovely butterfly garden provides respite from the otherwise-urban environment. We were a bit disappointed with the location; definitely not walking friendly. Economical, convenient, family establishment.

Good place to spend the night on a road trip

Reviewed 4 august, 2017

Lives up to its name - I was looking for a stopping point on a road trip and it worked great. The rooms have been renovated and some point pretty recently and are in very good shape. Everything was clean, there was plenty of lighting in the room and the other folks staying here didn't seem sketchy to me (maybe that says more about me than them, if you believe other reviews). Internet worked and was plenty fast - mini fridge / freezer and microwave in the room. Only downside was some road noise from nearby traffic - bring earplugs or turn up the AC unit and it won't be a problem.

Great Stay for Right Price

A good clean hotel for the economic traveler. They have non-smoking rooms. The service is excellent. A must stay for the economy traveler. Rooms have always been clean. This chain holds itself to a very high standard. I look for them when I travel.

Helpful staff, a bit scary property.

The owner/front desk help was very helpful in working a room open for us. The "ice machine" was the owner getting a sandwich baggy of ice from what appeared to be their own home ice maker. But the parking lot didn't feel especially safe.
