Lovely dog friendly stay

We had a lovely stay here with our dog (Mia). The rooms are cosy and full of character, the location was excellent and the food/drink facilities were great. We were made to feel very welcome by the lovely friendly and helpful staff (including the dog who also had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed her daily sausage for breakfast!), and it's in a good location for everything. We would happily stay here again and will recommend it to friends and family.

yet another 5* experience!
Reviewed 8 September, 2021
I met some friends for lunch at the Bayards Cove Inn a few days ago, and once again it was a 5* experience. Although it was insanely busy - the last few crazy days of the season - I had booked in advance and we had no trouble being seated. The girls working were doing an outstanding job of juggling eat in and take away orders, cleaning and sanitising recently vacated tables, and generally attending to everyones needs. The food was as delicious as ever - although I ALWAYS suffer from eyes-bigger-than-stomach and can never quite clear my plate! The lamb koftas were cooked to pefection, and the acompanying salad was light, fresh, crisp and delicious.
During our lunch we noticed one of the staff members recieving quite unnecessary abuse from a man who wanted a takeaway drink, but was refusing to wait outside for it (there is very little spare room when the restaurant is full). Regardless of the appalling behaviour of the customer, the staff member dealt with the incident with calm and poise (considerably more than I would have!) and refused to be riled by him. We were all extremely impressed, particularly as the place was heaving, and he was making quite a scene.
All in all it was a typically excellent experience - we left full, happy and maybe a little tipsy, and marvellously impressed by such a display of grace under pressure. Keep it up team!
