I don’t know where the people who left good reviews for this hotel stayed, but it wasn’t at the Sea Shells Beach Club. The room was DIRTY and old. They wouldn’t come in and clean or bring new towels. We had to go get them. Nothing updated. The toilet barely flushed, the sheets felt like sandpaper, the mattress was absolutely disgusting and there was a booger dried on the headboard. (Which was so dirty!). The ONE good thing, was the water pressure in the shower. JUST REMEMBER, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Clean place right on Daytona Beach

Sea Shells Beach Club is a nice place to stay; it's a four story building located right on the beach. My 3rd floor room had a nice view of the ocean. The room was clean, though a little dated. It was a one bedroom, one bathroom unit with a full kitchen, living room, an dining area. There was a TV in the living room and in the bedroom. I really liked the floor to ceiling all glass living room wall facing the ocean, with a sliding glass door leading out to a public balcony. I enjoyed the view. I also liked that they provided a lot of extra bath towels, hand towels, and wash rags. I frequently used the balcony stairs to go to the beach, after passing through the pool area. I also liked sitting on the lounge chairs at the end of the pool area, right next to the beach (but about 8 feet above the beach), where I could see and hear the ocean. It was like being on the beach without being in the sand and surf. I accessed the beach right from that same pool area, simply by walking down the few steps from the pool area to the beach. I went in early November, and there were only a few other people walking or sitting on the beach at any given time. Many times, there were no other people out there. I had the whole beach and ocean to myself! The weather was pleasant and the water temperature was a comfortable 75 degrees. There was a washer and dryer on the ground floor available for any guest to use for free. I didn't need to use them, though. I did use the small fitness room on the ground floor, near the office. It had a treadmill, a stationary bike, and a few free weights. There was never anyone else in the fitness room when I used it or walked past it. If you want an ocean view, ask for a room that faces the ocean. There is an elevator and luggage carts, so rooms higher than the first floor aren't difficult to get to. But there also are first floor rooms along the parking lot, so for extreme convenience, you could ask for one of those (but those don't face the ocean). The property manager was very accommodating, and seemed to be always onsite diligently working, cleaning, or at the front desk. All in all, I think this is a nice place to stay. I really enjoyed it.

I set up a reservation through their website which never conveyed although the extremely rude lady at the front desk kept saying the information I was giving for the second time sounded familiar. Upon first approach no one was in the office and a sign on the door read to use the call box. It was extremely hard to hear and I had to put my ear right up to it in order to make out any words at all due to the noise from A1A. The voice on the call box seemed perturbed by the fact that they needed to go to the office to check me into my room. As previously stated, my reservation was no where to be found and the woman seemed even more put off by my presence. I finally re-booked my room and when asked for my ID, I asked if I could send an emailed copy because my driver's license had been lost in the mail and I was waiting for it to arrive in texas. I had a copy on my phone and offered my social and photo credit card as further proof of identification. I was told I seemed shady and she would not rent me the room. I am a single female staying by myself and offered to pay in full as well as pay the deposit with no objections. They were rude from the first minute I arrived and then wasted my time. Don't even bother booking since their own website can't even keep track of a reservation and they are extremely rude. That woman does not belong working in the service industry, especially in a place as trafficked by tourists as Daytona Beach.

Upon arrival, the customer service was top notch. My fiance and I stayed the weekend and the staff was very polite and very welcoming to our needs. The rooms are set up to feel as comfortable as possible away from home. They have all the things inside the room to feel like home away from home. The outside deck is on the smaller size but very comfortable with a perfect view of the beach. Very clean and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet stay away from home with excellent staff members.
Poor Wireless Network Configuration

The room was clean and the staff friendly. No issues with sanitation. Laundry seemed to constantly be in use so we used a laundry mat for that. They also claimed the tv’s weren’t set up for Apple TV, fire sticks and gaming consoles. We discovered it is not the tv’s that aren’t capable. It is instead the wireless network. The network wants a password which isn’t bad but then the connection demands to display the hotel page which doesn’t work. So either the network is blocking or those boxes aren’t capable of connecting in that manner. We connected our Apple box to a Cell Phone hotspot and it worked fine albeit with my data service instead of the hotels. Additionally the wireless network didn’t store previously verified connections so the password had to be re-entered frequently. Annoying!
