Enjoyable Stay

Reviewed 10 september, 2022

We had a great time staying at the Downtown Denver Sonesta! The employees were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern and clean with a great view. The bed was also comfortable. It is in a great location and easy access to anywhere in the Denver area. We definitely would go back and recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Denver.

Will never come back!

Me and my husband came to this hotel after staying 2 nights at another hotel in Englewood where they were so accommodating to me with storing my breast milk so that it would stay good during our stay as I was pumping for my 2 month old at home. When we arrived at the Sonesta Hotel I ask the front if they had a freezer that I could put my small cooler with breast milk in while I stay the night. After the front desk ask someone in the back they said because of OSHA they couldn’t. I said okay and then I turned to my husband and started to cry knowing my breast milk was now going to thaw and go bad. When the front desk saw that I was crying they must have ask a manger in the back again. A lady came out of the back and was so rude to me telling me that they would put my cooler in their fridge only because I am upset and they have costumer service. She made me feel so incredibly at fault for asking and for having emotions about it. The front desk ladies were very nice but who I think was the manager was not. I will never return to this hotel!

Old and run-down. A building site. Pool only open in summer.

This hotel is suffering from years of neglect and has a huge maintenance backlog. It is currently undergoing major rebuilding. The pool, featured very prominently in the advertising of this hotel, is actually only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Very disappointing

Reviewed 23 may, 2022

I chose this hotel as I was enamored by the pictures , except when I got there , it was horrible , and I had made no cancellation reservation as it was close to my venue that I came to see. Starting with check in , no friendly staff , no Ice machines to use , being told that even though I’m on vacation I must call by 7am if I want housekeeping to come , why should I have to set an alarm on my vacation ? No hot water 💦 in the bathroom sink , hot water in the shower takes at least 15 mins of constant running , construction right next to us and loud noises coming from there , when I went to bring it up , this staff member told me I should have been informed, however it is not listed anywhere and it seems it’s been going on for over a year , and it was loud and I acceptable to be offered something that is pure profit and supposed make you feel secure but you drive in parking garage and homeless people inside when leaving this morning I asked the general manager to call , guess what no such thing occurred The bar /restaurant was a ghost town and hard to have a nice evening since the weather turned horrid while we were visiting I will never use this hotel again and I suggest you don’t either

Very Rude Staff

Reviewed 22 may, 2022

We checked into room 811 today after a very long day of driving and could the hear the elevator right next to our bedroom wall SQUEALING and thumping constantly. Staff was very condescending when we asked to switch rooms, they then moved us into a room half the size. They were also rude when our new programmed key cards did not work on the parkade doors, and seemed inconvenienced that they had to reactivate them. Considering we are paying $200/ night with $35 for one night of parking I am shocked. This was supposed to be one of the nicest hotels we stayed at on our holiday road trip. Do not stay here.
