More about the hotel
Nice hotel, but a couple of issues
The hotel is very nice, I just have two issues: (1) I did the advance mobile check in so I could skip having to have a face-to-face interaction at the front desk and could get my room via a mobile key. What a cluster that was. It was a complete failure and I ended up having to check in at the front desk anyway. What's the point of having a contactless option if you have to have contact anyway?!? (2) I made it clear when we arrived that we wanted to take our own bags to our room, we just needed to use the baggage cart to do it. The bellman was adamant that it was policy that he do it and was borderline rude to myself and my kids that under no circumstances could we take our own bags. After repeated pleading attempts to please let us handle our own luggage, we had no choice but to give in. When I asked about this at the front desk (b/c I now had to have contact with someone there), the front desk clerk made it clear to me that this was not your policy and I certainly could have used the luggage cart to have taken our bags to the room. Until she saw who the bellman was. Then she said, "Oh. That's Mr. Ron. Yes, he doesn't allow that." WTF?!? Is that just some roundabout way to force your customers to give tips? Whatever the reason, it's completely unacceptable and I've provided information on both of these issues to your corporate office, on various travel sites, and across social media so that others are aware of these practices.
Very convenient and great place to work
This hotel is modern, clean, spacious and very convenient to hold meetings or conduct business in Denver that is right next to the airport. Extremely quiet and comfortable despite being right next to the airport. Friendly and helpful staff and all needs met despite the pandemic and weak business environment.
Kindness that far exceeded expectations
I am an artist and writer who was hoping for a few days away from my daily routine. What I wanted most was to get on an airplane and go away, but since circumstances didn't allow this, my husband bought me a couple nights next to the airport as the next best thing. When Courtney H. checked me in, she had no way of knowing this. But when I asked her if my room had a Mountain View, she immediately offered to move me to a higher floor, to a window with a view more exquisite for my intentions than any I have ever had. For the past two days, I have spent hours sitting in front of it. Watching cars, trucks and buses circulating. In and out. Like arteries of a heart beating with our innate desire to transport ourselves. Through space and time. Trains arrive at the station. The flashing red light signaling their approach from downtown Denver and beyond. And planes fly in. And I sit. Watching. In awe. Of this view that I have. As a result of a small act of kindness, Writ large by my desire. Humility. And gratitude. Thank you, Courney H. for making this time away all that I needed it to be. And so much more. Your kindness has radiated onto me.
Convenience and Views
We stayed here during a layover in Denver. Loved and the view from our room. So cool to see the peaks of the airport. Most restaurants are shut down but theirs was open for indoor dining which was really nice. We got to have some family meet us for dinner there. Great food, staff are all incredibly friendly! The following day proved to be the biggest benefit. There were flight issues so our 5:30am didn’t leave till 1pm. Instead of sitting around the airport all day, the hotel let us come back to the room and relax there till it was time to go. Lifesaver!!
Convenient
Convenient though you have to go outside to access the hotel. Room was modern and comfortable. Certainly a better option than waiting for buses etc. I’d have no problem staying agin if within a reasonable price point.
