Unique experience with peaceful views

Reviewed 4 december, 2022

Indeed a great experience living on a historic boat than in a hotel! Don't expect huge rooms of course if you plan to book a basic cabin. The housekeeping staff is amazing. The F&B options are not that great. Only 2 outlets were open & the Pavilion didn't have much choices of food. It was even crazy that their F&B manager denied the "All you can eat" offer which was being promoted everywhere! Disappointing.. however, all cheers to the breakfast team & management at Lido.

Dubai Amazing Place to see

Reviewed 3 december, 2022

The Queen Elizabeth II Ship in Dubai was amazing. The staff and manager Mary was so accommodating! Food at ship was very good and rooms Very clean! The having drinking and hookah if you are looking for this at most resorts also! Dubai reminds me of a mega Vegas at night however 10 times bigger, better and much cleaner with a Florida twist on the islands on around beach areas! Burj Khalifa is amazing but parking and getting to it is exhausting and confusing walking through another mega mall. Ferris Wheel was very nice to see but closed! Deep dive Dubai was amazing and worth the visit and money. The instructors are the best! Camel riding was amazing especially if you go on your own if you rent vehicle at airport is better to get around very busy highways! Shopping at the old town Dubai was amazing old buildings and food places. Most shops there are over priced and not real stuff so be careful. We got charged over and turned out to be bad quality! We got our money back! The spices areas across river and outdoor food places very cheap prices and found great deals! If you like mega skyscrapers and mega malls which are everywhere then this place is for you! but high traffic and weather is mostly hot even in Nov. Construction everywhere you go it was way overboard :( Very friendly people mostly spoke English and all the signs in Arabic and English so very easy to get around with gps also. The people are very helpful even in the run down old neighborhoods where you would be concerned and turned out to have the best enthusiastic food places where the locals and workers go off freeways! No crime anywhere and women wear whatever they want even the locals wearing very short dress and shorts so don’t believe any rules on this. I found Dubai prices really low even nice fancy restaurants and local food places and very cheap gas prices $1.50 gallon, entertainment very reasonable compare to other places! Dubai is much safer then any place on earth I have to say! The crime in US is so bad everywhere you travel and most Latin countries I seen are the worse! Definitely you need 2 weeks to get around! I would go back in 5 years after all is built up and freeways redone and new transportation get around whole state and area! Looks like the are merging all the area into one big mega circle city that connect together!

Must do in Dubai

A journey On a Veseels on the 60es

Reviewed 27 november, 2022

a leap into the 60s when first tourists traveled the oceans and let themselves be pampered. you will find the setting of that time which will make you relive sensations that our parents or grandparents enjoyed on their cruises. now since 2018 it is anchored at port Rashid and the greatest crowing is on the weekend .. it is a must to try

Hospitality with the joy of a historical site

Excellent hotel with excellent location located at Port Rashid not only clean & comfortable, but the surrounding scenery is wonderful, not to mention the beautiful design and the interior décor. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly receptionist Lusy ,she made our trip more interesting with her advices & tips about the city and about what the hotel has to offer. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again Lusy for dedicating the time to make guests welcomed and feeling home .
