Great location in the centre of Durham

Great location the the centre of Durham. Chargeable parking, but not overcharged as Premier Inn supply you with a discount voucher. Lovely welcome and excellent Customer Service from front of house staff. Excellent breakfast and again great Customer Service asking about allergies and supplying Soya milk and answering question about how things are cooked. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Thankyou!

Having stayed in the premier all over the UK, I was massively disappointed at the breakfast, it wasn’t organised, food ran out quickly and took minutes to replenish, I was asked what I was waiting for and was told hash browns would be 4 minutes, having waited 10 minutes before my turn, why wasn’t the hash browns ordered in advance, this is very out of the ordinary in my opinion for the premier, you really need to look at the forecast for breakfast against the guests that are staying … very poor To name but a coupe of people who where great, Shawni, Abbie, Allison and Richard we’ll done guys, your a credit to premier x
50th Birthday Celebrations

I travelled with 7 of my friends for a 50th birthday celebration. We stayed at Walkergate Premier Inn mainly for the location. It was close to a selection of bars and restaurants. The hotel is new so was very clean and rooms were really comfortable. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble especially Allison who was brilliant. I would highly recommend the hotel.

This Premier Inn is in an excellent location if you want to explore the centre of Durham. It is just a few minutes walk from the areas around the cathedral, castle, amd university. The hotel is quite modern and everywhere was very clean. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The room was very clean, is not luxurious but is perfectly adequate and comfortable for a short stay. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and very good quality. The only disappointing aspect was the very weak free WiFi which only seemed to work in certain areas. Car parking is available in a nearby public car park, and the hotel gives a subsidy on the cost.
