Not bad not spectacular

The hotel will not exceed your expectations. It is clean but the rooms are quite simple and the breakfast as well. There is no lift and if you have to go to the third floor it will be a long walk. Overall acceptable.

Nice and small hotel

Reviewed 2 august, 2016

We stayed here in dec 2015 when we visited the christmass market. Nice small hotel run by a family. Close to the centre of dusseldorf. The rooms are big and nice. Double double windows that take care of it that you can sleep quiett. Breakfast is wonderfull, get what you want. Absolute nice people that run this place and make you feel welcome!

Friendly stuff

Reviewed 4 december, 2015

I stayed in this hotel for one night during my visit of Dusseldorf. The stuff was very friendly and had no troubles with communication in English. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again. And as a bonus they have a cute dog at the reception desk ;) It's not far from the river Rhein and a park. Few restaurants and also nice bakery is very close. Same as trams and also underground line is not far.

Not for someone with luggage

Reviewed 6 may, 2014

Stayed for a week at this hotel on business. Its a family run place the staff are friendly and welcoming. The room was clean. Bus, tram and rail lines are very close to the hotel, with the tram stopping right in front which can be very disturbing since it can be heard from morning 5 am till past midnight. The place is a small family run hotel it does not have a LIFT/ELEVATOR. I had to carry my luggage 2 heavy suitcases and 2 bags up the narrow staircase upto 2 floor. I would not recommend to have breakfast in the hotel its not worth 10 Euro. The hotel is about 1-2km from Ko and old town/aldstadt. They give you only one key to the room which is also your key to the front door of the hotel, we found this diffficult because my partner and me would come back at different times to the hotel but would not have means to enter since at most times there is no one at reception to even thr hotel doors.

Friendly and welcoming

We stayed at this little family run hotel for 6 nights and were very impressed by the level of service and standard of rooms. The owners are fluent english speakers and gave us a wonderful welcome. The hotel itself is on sternstrase which is around a 15 minute walk to the old town or aldstadt which takes you through the hofgarten; a local park. It is also a similar walk to all of the main shopping areas. The standard of rooms was excellent and my room had a considerable terrace which was a real bonus. Bed was comfortable with flat screen and the best power shower I have ever used. Breakfast is an extra ten euro a day and has everything you would expect from a continental set up. Wifi is free throughout the hotel and I was able to Skype from my room several times. It has made me think twice about staying in big impersonal modern chains as I much prefer the personable touch. Would definitely stay here again. Not sure how much it cost as it was booking via business but ticked all the boxes.
