Warms the heart and restores faith!

Another visit, and, despite difficult times in hospitality, this independently owned/run hotel & restaurant never disappoints. We’re always made extremely welcome; consistently high standards remain throughout, and fabulous food prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients, by a very talented young chef. Thank you again Team Eckington!

Incredible Festive Meal

Reviewed 20 december, 2021

Didn’t stay at the hotel but we went for a 3 course festive meal on a Friday night. Staff very welcoming and food was beautiful. Best Turkey we ever had! Clementine Cheesecake was absolutely gorgeous. Will return return for a Sunday Roast in the new year …

Very pleased..

...to find this family owned, village located, hotel surviving in difficult times. And pleased too to find welcoming staff and warm pleasant accommodation. An extremely comfortable and large bed, a very pleasant warm room and a good breakfast. The kind of place that deserves to survive these troubled times and when they end no doubt there will be time to freshen up some of the details.

Shoulda stayed longer

Reviewed 12 november, 2021

Loved this place. We stayed just one night before shooting the next day locally. The service was charming, attentive, thoughtful and never servile. And the dinner was spectacular - why do they not have a star yet? Note - Guide Michelin! Breakfast? Best bacon and sausage in a long time. And the room? Just lovely. Take my advice and go there.

Couple of days away

Reviewed 2 november, 2021

We booked last minute for a couple of days after getting married. We arrived at the hotel and it was so quiet and peaceful just what we needed after a crazy couple of days. The room was amazing, large bed and huge bath in the room. The only suggestion is to update the TV as it doesn’t go with the room! The restaurant wasn’t open on the Tuesday but we walked round to the local pub and had a great meal, the walk was about 10mins. Breakfast was filling and had a good choice on what you could pick. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
