I stayed here for three nights in November. My room was on the ground floor, it was quite spacious with a huge super comfy bed. The room also had a mini fridge, tea, coffee making facilities with selection of complimentary teas, coffees, biscuits / still and sparkling water and real milk! The bathroom was a decent size and had lovely fluffy towels / bathrobes, shower over bath and toiletries provided. A flat screen TV, safe, iron/board were also provided and ample sockets for charging electrical devices. I stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast package and I could not fault the food and beverages, great service and really tasty. I also used their health club which consist of a swimming pool, hydro / spa pool, steam and sauna room. There was also a well equipped gymnasium that I did not use. Finally the staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return and recommend!

Lovely location, very convenient for those travelling from the airport. The hotel is in a beautiful converted manor house. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic as was breakfast. Room was large and comfortable. Few observations - No-one helped us with our suitcases when we arrived - no porter to open the door or take them to your room. Sounds petty but those first impressions are really important. Maybe not expected from 4* hotel? - No bottled water in the room - quite a basic offering even from some budget hotels. - We visited the hotel spa on our last day at 11.15 (check out at 12). Given the hotel staff would have been aware of this (it was pre booked) we were still locked out the room when we returned from the spa and phoned by the front desk when we were getting our luggage ready to leave. Given your guests are spending money on more than one amenity we would have expected a little largesse in terms of check out hassling. Overall the staff were very nice and it's a good hotel. Maybe some inexperience within the ranks and a slightly 'depersonalised' service you get from corporate hotel groups.

Stayed here recently as part of our honeymoon Scotland road trip.. it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We were able to check in early and service from start to finish was superb. Our room was spotlessly clean and modern, the spa was brilliant & the food was simply stunning. We will look forward to coming back again when in Scotland.
High-end, dog-friendly hotel with great facilities and very close to the airport

In general we find that "dog-friendly" hotels are better than the rest, and Norton House is no exception. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful, the room was of a high standard and the building was attractive and well-maintained. We were unable to use the Spa or Restaurant facilities as we were travelling with two big dogs, but room service was very good and the dog exercise area was ideal for us. We had a couple of minor issues which we raised with Reception and we were impressed that we received a direct and personal response from the General Manager. The only thing I would mark down is that the dog-charge seems excessive - £140 for two nights is more than we have paid anywhere else.

We stayed for 5 days and chose the hotel because of its closeness to Edinburgh and good access to the road network. We found the hotel very comfortable and quiet, we had a top floor room away from any real traffic. The hotel staff were friendly and were trying very hard. It was clear some were new to the job but they were really making an effort. The leisure club is well equipped though the sauna was a bit tepid while we were there, on the other hand the steam room was really hot. We ate in each evening and even when the menu was reduced due to supply issues there was adequate variety and the quality was good. You can walk to the tram terminal near the airport.
