Great sumptuous food, lay back and enjoy

Of the many pluses this resort offers, the restaurants stand out. The variety of food, the exquisite preparation, the attention given to you by Christian and his staff, all provide for lasting memories of a thoroughly enjoyable vacation

Excellent Vacation

Check in was quick and easy. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Jorge and Alfredo at the pool bars were the best bar tenders! Ober was an excellent server for breakfast every morning, did I mention that the breakfast was excellent, fresh eggs, omelets, potatoes, beans, rice, pastries, yogurt, granola, The list goes on and on. Of the restaurants you can dine at I would go to La Dorada (Mediterranean) and Hashiru for sure! Five stars to both places for service and food quality. The Mexican restaurant was really Americanized, it was ok. The beds in the regular rooms (we were in building 38) could have been better but the rooms were clean . The beach was beautiful, clean and calm the majority of the time. If we didn’t want to be at the beach the pool was fantastic and HUGE. Overall an excellent vacation spot. We will for sure be back!

Wow!

First off, I love Mexico but have always stuck to the West coast. This was my first experience with Yucatan and an all-inclusive and I was very impressed. The staff was excellent, attentive, fun, and helpful! The resort itself is beautiful and huge. It's an excellent blend of constant activities centered on the pools and quiet solitude with hammocks scattered throughout. I particularly enjoyed the hammocks tucked into the jungle just behind the beach. I most definitely go back!

7 Nights get away with family

Beautiful resort spacious. Big swimming pool. Beautiful beach. Nice employees. Rooms nice. Exotic environment. Big resort. Food very good. Could go to resteurant 3 times during stay. Rest times went to Buffet. Has various buffets and resteurants with very good food. Down side--entertainment was good for half of time. Rest times they had karokee in main theater. Singer only 3 Nights. Some Nights very good but other Nights nothing to do. A lot of resteurants but all open the same time. No snack overnight. Resort could use Cafe where people could go just grab morning coffee. Coffee makes available upon request but there is problem with electric in the rooms. You have to be moving outlet around in order for it to work. Staffing could be better . Employees working very hard but there is still wait for drink and in buffets where food is being served. Used to go to this resort and it was better. There was always someone playing piano at night before. Now barely any entertainment at night. Plenty entertainment for kids and pool side but not at night. Can not go to iberostars around. They said those are different levels. They tell you to upgrade. I would give it 4 stars, not 5. I think when they gave resort 5 stars They ment it with upgrade and that's extra money.

Unforgettable & Unforgiveable Experience

Reviewed 28 april, 2022

First of all, I want to say kudos to the food. The quality and taste was great for buffet style resort and had a good selection. Now the unforgettable and unforgivable. 1. Arrived first day while checking in, the concierge kept on pushing us to have a lunch and tour at the higher end hotel. Identifying as a gay couple, we were later coached to not disclose that information when we have the tour the next day. We couldn’t really quite understand why and felt super comfortable that we can’t be comfortable under our own skin and also not know the context around getting lunch which was scheduled at 10 am pickup for lunch!! 2. We notice one night there was a show that was playing at one of the hotel theatres and went to ask the timing of next day shows. The gentlemen told us two times slots which I vaguely remember so had to go back to confirm. At that time we were given a different time that I had no collection of but decided to trust the lady. End up the time she gave us was completely incorrect and we missed the show. 3. We booked a tour through the hotel without much options. But the next morning, we were the old ones told we had chosen the premium package . Not sure exactly how much we paid extra, but the so called premium package included a sandwich and a juice box that we end up not eating. I truly think this type of upsell without letting customers know ahead of time is not good sales practice. 4. We were advised the tour would stayer from 7:30 am and end around 7:30pm. So we changed our dinner reservation to 9 on the conservative side. We end up getting back at 930 pm. 30 mins late to dinner reservation in a tour bus that does not have wifi. And we were refused, yes you saw it right, we were refused to enter in the restaurants when clearly there r ppl still inside. This was the last night we were there and was going to head back home next day. I really thought they would show more empathy after I told them this is the last day we are here. The girl called over his boss. The first words coming from his mouth is “no”. I mean if new person coming here is not to solve my problem. Then he reset doesn’t have too come at all. Because he just became part of the problem and not the solution. Overall. I would never go back to a homophobic and ungrateful and not accommodating Hotel & staff.
