Lovely Staff And Good Leisure Facilities

Stayed three nights, dinner, bed and breakfast, in a triple room with wife and child. Room of a good size with kettle, iron, iron board, good storage space. A small TV was adequate and the dated en-suite nevertheless provided a good shower and clean facilities. Indeed, although dated and in need of modernisation, the whole hotel is very clean and well maintained. As we wanted use if the pool and gym we were not disappointed with the facilities that were there when used either. Food portions were great and quality of food more than satisfactory. Best though are the friendly staff who chatted readily and were attentive.

Stayed at the Eight Acres Hotel with family last week. Fourth time staying at this hotel so knew what to expect. We had a lovely time on our 4 night stay. Hotel although is in need of some refurbishment don't let this put you off. Staff are very helpful and friendly, meals very good, rooms a bit dated but clean and tidy. We were on an "DB&B" deal which was perfect. Hotel Spa was very organised as we had to book for swimming pool/gym as it was limited to 5 or 6 people per hour which worked well. This is an ideal hotel for visiting Morayshire and the surrounding area. Hotel very well organised with the provision of hand sanitisers, throughout hotel, Covid 19 rules signage on display, wearing of face masks and social distancing. We felt very safe with no issues. We will return in the Spring of 2021 as it is good value for money . Mr and Mrs Wheeler Leven Fife

On way back from Fife my wife and I decided to not take the usual A9 home to strathpeffer but decided to go via Dundee and up the motorway towards Aberdeen We stopped at a number of towns and generally dawdled about taking in the bonnie sites along the way especially the viewpoint that looks down on Laurencekirk ,we eventually got to Huntly and stopped for a cuppa at Deans shortbread factory another must if your ever about there,it's then the wife decided she would like to stop and stay the night as we were in no hurry to go home so we looked on Internet and got a great deal for dinner bed and breakfast at the eight acres in Elgin The girl at reception Ruth was very helpful with putting the deal together and everything about the hotel was first class, good food nice warm room and great breakie definately be back

Checked in proceeded to 1st room to find feces in the toilet, if this had been a private trip instead of business I would have checked out immediately. The hotel found me another room which was very dated with stain marks from some kind of fluid running down the walls, arrived home from a long days work on day 5 to find I had no hot water in the sink and no water in the shower at all prompting another room move for my last night. 3rd room was of an accceptable standard although the bath was only Luke warm. I am back here next week here’s hoping I have more luck

Arrived to check in late at night (11pmish)... check in was easy enough but no bar available for residents and no drinks could be sent to the rooms. Not ideal for people wanting to relax for a bit on arrival. The rooms were ok and the heating worked. Breakfast was realy good... continental and cooked both tasted excellent but well overpriced at 18 quid per head. Probably wouldn't stay again if there was somewhere else available. Sort the night service and breakfast prices and it would be better.
