Good place but rooms are uneven in quality

Reviewed 27 june, 2021

I stayed here two nights as part of a G Adventures tour of Morocco. My room was fantastic. It was an inside room (no window - it faced the courtyard). Very nice sized with a couch and TV. Plenty of storage for clothes as well (hangers, etc). The bathroom was pretty nice although the first day hot water was shaky. That said, others in my group had outside facing rooms that were VERY noisy. Lots of construction going on with potent fumes. They didn’t like the riad as much as I did, so maybe ask for an inside room. Breakfast was one of the better ones I had in Morocco. But that’s not saying much. I was glad I got the chance to stay in a real riad. Good location in the medina too!

Somewhat older hotel, in need of a facelift. Very charming however. Our room had no outside window so it was very humid. The staff on hand was quite friendly and helpful. They can recommend good restaurants nearby. Breakfast just ok.

Budget conscious hotel

Great location for shopping and eating places. Rooms smallish, without much natural lighting. Wish there were windows to open for fresh air. Breakfast minimal, but the roof terrace not bad. Hoped they had more than one hair dryer at the reception if required by guests.

Very helpful staff - good location

Hotel is well located in the vibrant (if windy) city of Essaouira. Staff were extremely helpful, giving and explaining city maps and helping with local phone calls. Rooms were spacious and mice rooftop.

Good location, crap property

There were so many problems with the hotel: sinks that didn't work, drains that wouldn't drain, broken doors, unattached toilet seats... They also don't take credit cards, which is just annoying in this day and age. The location was great, but there are no bad locations in Essaouira, and not all of them are right next to a mosque with an extremely ambitious mu'azzin.
