Lacking empathy

Opinión escrita el 16 de enero de 2023

I have to say that I travel for a living and have stayed at countless hotels throughout the country; I've never experienced a situation quite like this before. I called and spoke with one of the managers on the day of check-in to let her know that I would not be able to check-in on the expected day of arrival because I had to immediately report to work. She suggested that I check-in early so that my room would be available when I arrived first thing the next morning. So, I checked-in early. I arrived that next morning after working all night in the hospital just to discover that there wasn't any available parking at the hotel--every single space was occupied. I called the hotel and was told that there was a Trade Show at the hotel and, unfortunately, the attendees of the Trade Show were occupying many of the hotel's parking spaces. I was then told that I would have to park off-site and just pay for parking (however, parking at the hotel is free). After working a 13 hour shift, I drove around the hotel parking lot for 25 minutes until one space became available. When I made my way to the front desk, I received a disingenuous apology from the young lady checking me in and the shift manager was standing along side her and said absolutely nothing. No offer of a bottled water, no offer of anything. Just a disingenuous apology. When I finally made my way up to room 406, I was greeted by a very stale odor in the air. There were also fingerprints that ran up and down the interior of the door. The odor and the large collection of fingerprints left me with the impression that the room was very much in need of a deep-cleaning. The ironing board had brown crud on it...the room just did not feel fresh at all. I just expected more from a newer hotel. I definitely expected more empathy, more customer service, just more...

Beautiful Location with Amazing Staff

Hotel Indigo Everest went above and beyond for our family. We had a family emergency and being a large family we had a number of challenges. Hotel Indigo accommodated several last minute reservations and extensions over the course of a week. In addition the hotel manager and restaurant manager helped accommodate the entire family, 15 people, for a birthday celebration with only a 3 hour notice. We are so grateful to the managers and staff to ease the stress of such a difficult time.

Absolutely gorgeous room corner on harbor side. However this is the First Hotel in my life (I have 100s of stays a year). I have ever left in the middle of night. Loud noise of People Screwing and screaming, teenagers running around blasting music in light fountain at 2am. Big Blue Ox stomping on floor above. The walls are thin built cheap The Jetty restaurant was a 2 pointer. Cost of Dining over 110.00 for two which is fine but.. risotto’s were very salty and shrimp were precooked not fresh cooked 26.00, Calamari started was no flavor over cooked and laden with oil, salad way over dressed. Waiter was trying too hard for a tip my guess is he felt he had too. Stay at your own risk

I can't tell you how happy we were to find Hotel Indigo in Everett. This great boutique hotel, right on the waterfront was more then we expected. The service from the time we checked in, our room complete with coffee machine, and the intimate bar just outside the restaurant was a real treat. You can't go wrong staying at the Hotel Indigo.

This hotel stay was one for the books! Check in was at 3pm, we got there at 4:15 and the room wasn’t ready. We waited about 15 minutes in the cozy lobby and we were called for our room. When we arrived in the room, the fridge wasn’t cold and we’d brought snacks that needed to stay cold. My daughter pointed out a literal pile of old pizza boxes that were left in the room. Hotel staff were quick to respond to assess the fridge and remove the boxes. They also offered 2 complimentary breakfasts for our troubles which we thought was a lovely gesture. When we got ready to go down to the pool, we threw on the robes in the room and I put the room key in my pocket only to find used tissues in the pocket of the robe! Gross is an understatement. They replaced the robe and once again apologized for the uncleanliness. We went down to the pool only to find it equally disgusting. Hair all over the pool deck, used towel strewn about and my daughter pulled up from the bottom of the pool an earring back, a penny, and a FINGERNAIL. We promptly left and showered. We were so grossed out. The room itself was a joke. We paid extra to have a water view. What we got was a parking lot view out one window and a view of construction dirt piles out the other window. The room was SO loud it was hard to get any sleep. We got up in the morning looking forward to at least having a nice breakfast before our departure. What we got was subpar food that we didn’t even eat. My daughter’s chocolate chip pancakes were burnt and my eggs Benedict had a vey odd and sour sauce on top. Definitely wasn’t like any hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had. The breakfast potatoes were just diced potatoes deep fried beyond recognition. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and we definitely won’t be back.
