Awesome hotel for wedding reception and out-of-town guests
Reviewed 10 may, 2022
My wife and I recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at this hotel and everything was perfect! The event planner, Dawn, was very professional and helpful. She guided us through the process for selecting the best banquet room for our number of guests and configuring the room for the wedding ceremony and reception. She also gave us excellent advice on options for table center pieces and other items related to room set-up, table linen colors, food choices, and places to rent specialty items. The event staff was top notch and very customer service focused, so the execution of the event was flawless. The event Team Lead Manager, Steve, was exceptional and ensured everything ran smoothly. It really could not have been any better. I highly recommend this hotel for hosting events. Also, my wife and I spent the night at the hotel, and several out of town guests also stayed in the hotel, and we were all very happy with the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. Several out of town guests brought their family pets and they were very happy this Holiday Inn is pet friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for special events and also for when you just need a hotel room. The staff is professional, friendly, and customer focused and clearly focused on exceeding customer requirements.
Up to expectations

As I expected, clean, tidy with friendly staff and up to date with Covid precautions Use Holiday Inn as much as possible because you know what you will get and they always live up to it. Good easy parking and nice and easy to the National Museum
no service for rooms and then lied about it, stay elsewhere

Overall the hotel could be fine, however, the hotel management cheats guests by charging full rate but choosing not to service rooms. There is a small sign at the front desk that claims that to protect guests, they do not service rooms unless the guest asks. This means that guests spend their stay with trash, wet towels, unmade bed, and run out of consumables (paper cups, coffee). The hotel management does not offer a discount for the reduced service. I spoke with the manager after the first day and said that I wanted the room serviced EVERY day. She agreed that they would service the room every day, but then they did not. They serviced the room on one only day all week. The room is nice although dated. Annoying and inconvenient that there are insufficient plugs at the desk and nightstand for electrical gadgets. I am an IHG Gold member and have been staying at this property regularly for over 15 years. I think I will try somewhere else next trip.
Road trip with a stop at the National Museum of The United States Air Force

We were traveling as two couples returning from a week-long adventure on the Erie Canal. We had adjoining rooms and a bonus full-size refrigerator to hold our cooler full of perishables. We were warmly greeted on our arrival and the check-in was was quick and efficient. A problem with the room key card was quickly resolved by management with a trip up to our room with additional keys. The close proximity to The National Museum of the Air Force and restaurants made this an ideal location for us.

Everybody, nicole, connie, bob, bruce, gabe, cheryl, kelly, stephanie, chrissy, mike, dianna, kalyn, dawn, and just everyone. They are the best people anyone could come across. They have taken care of me at every turn. I have been here for over a year due to tornado damage to my home and they have taken me in like family.
