Stayed here one night. The first room was filthy and the TV remote did not work...even after battery replacement. The second room was filthy. We were going to enjoy the pool, b ut was never told it was out of commission. I've attached a picture of the pool from our room! The hotel has potential but needs major landscaping, cleaning and updating.

WORST hotel I’ve ever had

My fiancé & I came here with our dog to stay for 3 nights to attend a family funeral service. The pictures online look great but what a lie that was! First off you would think since I have a dog they would have me close to the outdoors to let my dog go potty. Nope, they stick us on the 2nd floor in the middle of everyone. I suck it up, we get into our room and it smells so gross. The dishwasher had dishes in it, the ice bucket was dirty and filled with water, there was dirty laundry from another guest on the floor, there was trash in the bed under the blankets, and the towels smelt like smoke. Good thing we brought some blankets with us so we used those instead of sleeping under god knows what. The first night I go to bring my dog out when it was getting dark, some guy from out of no where starts walking towards me. I turn and go to walk inside and I notice he’s walking faster and faster. From that moment on my fiancé brought the dog out. There were a bunch of creepy men just hanging around, very uncomfortable. Me and my fiancé left a day early because we did not want to stay there anymore, we didn’t even feel comfortable leaving our dog there so we took her everywhere with us. Will definitely not be returning there or WV in general! Don’t do it.

Hotel Deteriorating

With family in the area (just 1 mile down the road), we've used this hotel for over 6 years. It seems that each year, a sign is up that they are making improvements. Not so. The exterior, the rooms and especially the grounds are deteriorating. Thigh high weeds all along the exterior wall. Dirty towels. Unclean rooms. No cups or glasses. No coffee pot in rooms. Our biggest complaint is about the lack of safety. Parking lot had lights near entrance; no lights in the parking lot - zip, nada- where the rooms are located. Rear doors were unlocked and jimmied open. Doorway entrance was cloudy with pot smoke. Guys were sitting in their cars -backed in so that they faced the hotel door, watching. We were scared to go inside; if anyone opted to follow us, we had no way to keep them out of the building. Last year there were parties, fights late into the night outside our window so this was not an uncommon issue. It is 2021 - the world revolves around our technology- and our ability to use them. The room had ONE electrical outlet. How do travelers recharge their phones, tablets, etc.? Huge room, king sized bed - but only one nightstand, only one light on the stand. Lighting in the bathroom - a key issue with me- was way too dark. No way would my husband attempt to shave in the mirror. Forget trying to put on makeup. We have traveled this year - staying 36 nights in a Choice hotel across the US. This hotel is an insult to the Choice name.

This place is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in !! The Suburban Extended Stay didn’t even have a coffee pot in the room. Trash piled in the hallways and outside the doors. Hotel bar full of drunk unprofessional staff. Fire alarm going off at night. No breakfast at all. It’s well worth driving a bit further.

Poor customer service, the rooms smelled awful I was locked in the bathroom door because the handle fell out if it wasn't for my room mate finally coming back to the room and help me I would have to bust the door down. Second room smells also like dog pee or something, rooms not clean enough. Breakfast wasn't bad. location hotel was up a hill took me a while to find it I didn't get a receipt poor customer service.
