Nice rooms, but the tub leaked constantly durinv attempt at bath. Both toilet and urinal leaked water when flushed i. Publuc bathrooms. Minor irritations, the i saw room available on Expedia for much less than I paid. Not up to par for a Marriot property.
Bait n' Switch Tactics

First of all, I would have given this hotel a much higher score, if it weren't for a situation I encountered. When I booked the room online I asked for a King room and I received a written confirmation from Bonvoy (Marriott) that was what we'd get. This was done a little over a week prior to my stay. When I received a reminder from Marriott about our stay I noticed that they now were showing a room with (2) Queen beds. I then phoned the hotel and explained to them that I booked a King room and have a confirmation from Bonvoy showing that. The lady I talked to could care less. She pretty much blew me off and said it was due to availabilty and they did put me in a bigger room. If I wanted a bigger room I would have booked it in the first place. We wanted a King room and that's what we signed up for and that's what was confirmed. These are the kind of bait n' switch tactics I'd expect for a cheap hotel chain, but not from Marriott. If I would have known about this bait n' switch more than 1 day before my stay I would have booked with another hotel nearby. When these types of tactics occur it's usually due to poor management/ leadership that allows this to happen. My next trip to DFW will not include a stay at this Residence Inn property.
Very nice hotel

Everything was perfect with our room. We didn’t enjoy the barking dog on our floor nor housekeeping waking us up before 9. Our trip was for leisure. After, 2 mornings I told the front desk. Covid breakfast was lacking in that your weren’t given a choice. Muffin and orange.

In town visiting family and we stayed at this hotel...Very impressed! Since we’d be in town for 6 nights we booked a studio king room. Pleasantly surprised to find an apartment size kitchen, as well as sitting area, work station, kitchen bar and 2 stools, alcove with king bed, dressing area with built in drawers and built in shelves, and a large bathroom. Kitchen has refrigerator approximately 16 cubic feet of storage capacity, microwave, small dishwasher with detergent pod, full size coffee maker, toaster, pots/pans, dishes and cutlery for 4, cutting board and knives. Dish towel and wash rag with small bottle of dish soap. Lots of electrical outlets and a charging station with USB ports. Bed was very comfy, extra pillows and blanket available. Iron/board in closet. Shower was large. Double sink and all towels were large and fluffy. Quality Shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided. Fire pit and lounge chairs outside, indoor pool. Very polite staff. Next time we are in town, we will definitely stay here. Great job, Residence Inn! Restaurants and Whole Foods nearby.

They feature suites, and while we had one of the smaller ones, it was quite spacious for the two of us. The service is great. The people that work there are helpful. The bed was comfortable. There is shopping and dining very close. We used it as our base to travel north of Dallas and as far south as the Bush Library and Museum on the SMU campus so we found it quite handy. We stayed at three motels on this trip. This is the only one that exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds.
