More about the hotel
Dirty
The first room I stayed in was really dated and had a lot of staining in the carpet and the couch. I tried to get passed it but when I went to go use the bathroom there was literally poo on the toilet seat. I tried to call the front desk and when I picked up the phone realized it hadn’t been cleaned (covid world - this should be the first thing cleaned right next to people’s mouths). Second room was better but as I was showering realized the tub wasn’t draining and black flecks were floating into the tub from the drain. So I had to hop out of the shower and finish washing at the sink which isn’t in the bathroom at all. The handle of the shower wasn’t even attached to the wall. The longer I’m in here the more I notice - end table has crusty dried on fluid. Food staining on the black office chair. And the phone in the 2nd room is just as bad as the first room. Not worth the $
Still a good hotel, but needs attention.
We got a one bedroom first floor suite. Large and clean, except for obvious floor stain upon walking in. I took pictures and showed front desk. It did not look like a dog stain, but since I had a dog I didn’t want to be held responsible. The strangest thing is the a little TV on top of the old fashion entertainment unit. So I had to look up to see football game. See picture. Also the curtains were kind of falling down and sliding door wouldn’t open and screen was propped up outside. Fortunately we were only staying night because a letter said only weekly made service and don’t put your trash in hall.
Average stay
This is a dated property, Outside is maintained, but inside the rooms are not updated, carpet was worn and stained in spots, the lamp shade on the desk was splashed with coffee stains. The small TV was very wobbly when you tried to turn it, thermostat control was on the unit, which was located down in the corner behind the desk. Squeaky bath tab insert, but all was reasonably clean and the staff was friendly.
Nice place to stay
Room was spacious and very clean and appeared to have been recently remodeled. Beautiful exterior and lobby, have never see a Courtyard lobby like this one. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our TV did not work and they immediately let us move to another room. We had a king size bed and it was probably the most comfortable bed we slept in on on our 2 week trip.
Nice design and beautiful lobby but outdated rooms
The exterior and beautiful lobby are unlike most Courtyards. The design is clearly inspired by traditional New Mexico architecture. Very nice. However, guest rooms are outdated by 3-4 years. Especially the bathroom and furniture. Some of the bedding had small holes. In the bathroom, there was mold or dark grime on shower tiles, the faucet on the sink was loose, and cobwebs and dirt were accumulated in corners. Also, the sink was separate from the bathroom, which is outdated by at least 25 years. You don't see that anymore. Be advised that key services/amenities like the bistro and gym were closed even though other hotels in the area have fully reopened after coronavirus.
