Beautiful place, food not good, cleanness embarrasing

Reviewed 29 september, 2021

The rooms were beautiful but not clean. The inside of the shower door was disgusting. So was the telephone. One day they had a party in an extra room and then the hotels public toilet was disgusting for the whole day and evening - and even the next morning. The food is less than average but super expensive

We were invited to a dear friends wedding at the hotel. As we are locals we were aware of this hotel but never stayed over. Charming interior, efficient and friendly staff ,clean, spacious rooms, nice bathroom, fluffy towels, good complimentary soaps alas no bathrobes.

Overstated hotel

Reviewed 8 february, 2018

The hotel is old and it doesn’t correspond to a 4 star hotel. The room feels like a 2 star hotel: outdated furniture, woody and noisy floors, small bed, unusable desk, etc. Perhaps suitable for nostalgic people but very far away from the modern trends.

Time to Relax

Reviewed 14 june, 2017

This is an old hotel with some interesting history. The floorboards in the hallway creak very loudly. And despite those creaky floors, we never heard another guest during our stay. Our room featured a small balcony with table and chairs, with a view of the lake. It was nice to sit out and listen to the birds or watch the cars go by. Feldafing is a lovely small town which is quiet and feels private, but is an easy train ride away from Munich. The hotel staff here was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. And dinner in the pub was a local treat, featuring white asparagus.

Time warp experience

Reviewed 26 may, 2017

Interesting old hotel. Original creeky floor boards and period style furnishings add to experience. Our room had been refurbish along with a modern bathroom. We overlooked the service yard so missed out of the view of the lake, golf course and gardens. Restaurant and terrace service could have been better (we may have caught them on a bad day) but the food quality made up for this, the portions are almost overly generous.
