Lovely Riad with friendly staff

Reviewed 7 december, 2019

The Riad was very well signposted and easy to find within the maze of the medina. We had a very warm welcome from Mohammed and his team. He was very willing to help us with whatever we needed, including connecting us with our tour guide we had booked for the next day (who he knew personally which was great). He also kindly allowed us to use his PC to print out our return flight boarding passes. The room was at the top of the Riad with a great view of Fes from the terrace. It was well-decorated with TV, private bathroom, air con etc. and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, especially the home-made carrot marmalade.

Wonderful hosts and beautiful riad

Reviewed 23 september, 2019

Riad Letchina was a wonderful place to stay in Fes. We were greeted by the hotel staff just outside the old medina walls so that he could help bring our luggage to the hotel (short walk...5 mins?). We appreciated the very professional and warm nature of the staff, as they were helpful in getting us settled in and gave us some good tips on how to navigate Fes. The hotel was both spacious and cozy, and very charming, with great architectural details. We stayed in room #2, which included a large bed on the bottom floor, as well as a single bed in the loft. The room inside is small (but functional) but this is more than offset by the fact the room shares a private living room/lounge area with room #1. Renting both rooms would work great for a family as you would also have this common space. We required an early morning departure, and we really appreciated the team waking up super early to prepare breakfast for us as well moving our luggage back to the old city walls to help us meet our driver. Thank you!! Overall, we were very impressed by our stay in Riad Letchina and would love to be able to stay again.

Exemplary Riad in Fez

Reviewed 7 september, 2019

This Riad is just perfect and should be considered an example. It is very easy to get there by taxi and yet close to pretty much everything that you will want to visit. The staff is very friendly, fluent in a lot of languages and always happy to help with a smile. We got lost en agreed with a local to guide us back for 10 dirham. After arriving at the Riad, hé claimed that we said 100 dirham. The manager even negotiated on our behalf. In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to stay in the old part of Fez, we recommend Letchina.

Family Time In Fes

Reviewed 25 july, 2019

After 5 days in Marrakech and a day or two in the Sahara, we came to Fes, ready to compare it with what we had already discovered about Morocco. After parking as close as he could, we were met by the manager who escorted us to his Riad. Facing the laneway was a subtly signed door. Once inside, in the entry foyer, there is a flight of steps down to the centre courtyard, where we settled in, completing the paperwork. It is already impressively authentic in this Riad, and we are LOVING it. Back up the stairs, and then up another flight, we arrive at our level. Through the door, into the sitting room, furnished with authentic chairs, tables and decor. To the right was the double room. To the left, the twin room. Both rooms, perfectly adequate and authentic. Once you are familiar with the route, this Riad is close enough to the bustling market (souk?) without being disrupted by it. This Riad was, apparently, on the route of a historic walking route. I love this Riad, love the location, the ambience and the services.
