Visiting Florence

Reviewed 2 october, 2022

The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful and professional. The motel has very modern look and feel. The breakfast was very good especially the pears were so good. At breakfast the staff was excellent. On two occasions we had to leave for excursions before the breakfast area was open, the staff packed us a breakfast to go bag that contained some breakfast staples such as yogurt, one of the delicious pear, fruit juice and water… If you do stay at the hotel do not forget to go up to the terrasse to view Florence during the day and at night….. The location is very good, it is about 5 to 10 minute walk from the Piazza di Santa Croce where you can find some excellent and affordable restaurant, everything is in walking distance from the hotel. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Great staff, location and breakfast

Reviewed 28 april, 2022

Great location on the Arno river and within walking distance of all the sights in Florence. Classy, well trained staff made our stay productive and enjoyable. Their tips on restaurants and directions were spot on. Fantastic breakfast buffet started out our day. Rooms were small but clean and functional. A perfect place to stay in Florence.

A wonderful experience in every respect

The hotel (now called Eurostars Florence Boutique) gave a very good impression from the moment of our arrival. It's a handsome building from the outside and the entrance and reception area is beautifully decorated. The receptionist who greeted us was charming and rushed to help with our bags, and explained all the hotel services very well. Our room (308) wasn't huge but having read the description and dimensions I wasn't expecting it to be. However it wasn't at all cramped and the bed was very large and comfortable. Folding wooden shutters kept the light out very well at night. There was very slight traffic noise from the nearby road but not enough to disturb us, and otherwise the hotel was very quiet inside at all times. The breakfast included in the room rate was very nice and the ladies who served it were so pleasant and helpful, they cooked my eggs specially for me on two mornings as the serving dish had run out. We never had to wait to be served. The coffee was good too. One of the best features of the hotel is the lovely roof terrace with panoramic views of Florence from all angles, what a special place to sit and relax after a day's sightseeing. We felt the hotel represented excellent value for money for such a nice property and intend to return at the earliest opportunity. Only one small negative - it would be nice if more care could be taken of the plants on the roof terrace as most of them looked in need of more watering, dead-heading and pruning, and it is a pity to let down such a lovely outside space.

Excellent Home base for Florence

Reviewed 31 august, 2021

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights in August 2021 and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is now owned by Eurostars but it is still a Home hotel to us. Our room was on the top floor, a junior suite I believe and had the most amazing view for sunsets and overlooking the city and historical sites. The rooftop also has an incredible 360 view but we didn’t venture up there much since ours was so good. The staff were very helpful, everyone wore masks. The breakfast was delicious. It was a buffet however because of COVID, the employee assembled and handed the guests their food choices. The coffee was amazing. Dinner recommendations by the staff, Daniele and Fabio, were perfect. Fabio arranged a guide who took us to the museums. Everyone and everything couldn’t have been nicer.

Very Nice Hotel

Reviewed 5 july, 2021

Hotel Florence is a relatively new boutique hotel in downtown Florence and its a great choice if you are stopping in this area. It's new, clean, and has great retro decor. Our room was spacious, clean and we also enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. I don't know this area well, and we only stopped for a night on our drive home but I thought it was a great choice.
