Great location and staff

Reviewed 12 january, 2022

We eventually enjoyed our stay at Rivoli. Staff was really nice and helpful but room decoration is quite old and heating erratic (we could not sleep 2 nights out of 9 because of high temperature). Value for money is probably ok for Florence, but it'd be unacceptable for other locations.

An Exquisite Hotel loaded with History

Reviewed 30 october, 2021

This was our 2nd hotel stay on an organized tour of Rome, Florence and Venice and it was BY FAR the most comfortable and interesting place we stayed. The history of the building, the clever way it has been expanded and repurposed during it's lifetime is quite interesting and informative. The associated restaurant was great and the staff were wonderfully helpful!.

Florence Fun

Reviewed 22 october, 2021

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rivoli. The staff were very nice and helpful. Thus was our first trip to,Italy, so some things were confusing to us, but the staff helped us through the rough spots. They also helped us get a car and driver to take us to the Lamborghini and Ferrari museums and a tour of a balsamic factory. The hotel,is very well located. Easy walking distance to many of the must do things in Florence. Also close to the train station, making it very easy to catchba high-speed train to Venice. We want to come back to Florence and plan to stay at the Rivoli again.

All top marks. Clean, Friendly, Many amenities with lot’s of indoor and outdoor lounge space. Excellent Restaurant! Actually the best Restaurant that we visited in our five night stay. Charming Bar on the ground floor. Very inviting. A small but luxurious Sauna AND Steam-room with Jacuzzi. The works actually. Excellent prompt friendly Room service and the Hotel could not be better located. An easy tram ride from the airport, the train station is a couple blocks away, and you can easily walk to the river heart of the city. Every box gets ticked with a star. Truly excellent hotel.

A gem in the heart of the city.

Our trip to Florence started out with a big mess as we had been traveling for over 24 hours, it was late, we were tired, and the car service we booked didn't show at the Bologna Airport. Our Italian wasn't good enough to sort it out. We ended up at an airport hotel thinking we'd have to wait until morning to fix it. When we called the Hotel Rivoli to let them know that we wouldn't be checking in until morning, the staff quickly jumped into action, called the car service and had another car pick us up at the airport hotel to take us to Florence. What a relief. Once there, all I can say is that every need was met. Every person on staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was a great one. In particular, the bartender is truly a man who enjoys taking care of others. We spent a lot of time in the garden in the evening, after sightseeing, with some good Tuscan wine. The breakfast is lovely. The room is clean and bright. We have been here 4 nights. I will never stay anywhere else when I'm in this area.
