Lovely hotel close to Florence

We picked this hotel as they accepted dogs. Overall the hotel was lovely, staff very helpful, room very comfortable and the hotel had a lovely garden. Sadly due to an "incident" we were not allowed to have a drink or eat in the garden which resulted in us being stuck in our room al the time. I understand not allowing dogs in the indoor bar/restaurant but not allowing them outside is a little hard. We did eat in our room and room service was good, Food good, but we felt a limited (there was a barbeque) as we were in our room and the rooms are not designed to have dinner in.
Do not stay here

This hotel has many issues and was the worst we have stayed in +5 years. We would not book it again and would advise you to not book it via Booking.com. Overall it has been quite disappointing. To illustrate the lowlights: Our room was very noisy, run down and definitely overdue on a full-scale renovation (so is the whole facility). The pool area is overcrowded and there is a structural deficit of sun beds, so 10 min before it opens all sun beds are basically gone for the entire day. Breakfast operations are poorly managed and therefore entail long waiting lines and times. Overall the staff is not particularly service oriented and incompetent of problem solving. We booked via Booking.com and got a room in a lower category than booked. Upon discussion with the manager this is apparently an issue they regularly have, but the hotel does not feel responsible, refused to amend our situation and is apparently incapable to permanently resolve the issue with Booking.com.

The staff is extra friendly and polite. After Covid and pandemic restrictions we still weren’t allowed to touch any food item on the counters. The room was spacious and the bathroom had personal size amenities. Very clean. It was an escorted travel group so everything was pre arranged, our rooms were ready when we arrived. We had to wear masks all the time except when eating. This hotel is also about 30 minutes bus ride from city center.
Very nice stay

We stayed there with my 5yo son for 4 nights. Nothing to say, the food (half-board), breakfast, the room were great. Just two remarks: - The location is very convenient if you have a car (free parking in front of the hotel, left mine there for 4 days and no issue) and you have the bus that goes downtown right by the hotel. BUT it's a 20-something minutes ride downtown to the Centro Storico. -The pool was great but it didn't have a shallow area (only from 1,40m to 2,50m) so it was not really "kid-friendly"
