The rooms leave little room for luggage’s. The bathroom has dust all over it. It’s like the hotel is run by very young adults. And I hates getting ripped off by the taxi driver who front desk called and apparently knew that a surcharge would be added for being called to hotel and also charged surcharge for luggage and backpacks they did notevwm help load or unload. Totally felt ripped off!!

If you are a non-smoker avoid the workspace.

I have worked in the space many times thinking it will be different, but it never changes. They let people smoke right outside the workspace doors and it ALWAYS smells really bad of cigarettes because all the smoke comes inside. Feels like you're working an ashtray. they have signs not to smoke there, but everyone does and the management doesn't care nor do they say anything. For a hotel that boasts they are ambient friendly, innovative and modern, it's counter productive. You can add your vegan cafe and recycling bins everywhere, but you let people smoke in the workspace? It's sending an inconsistent message when people are smoking practically INSIDE the workspace. Feels like you're working in a 1970s environment..

Great experience

Overall I find my stay at the Social Hub Very good. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Extensive breakfast buffet. Only thing I would recommend is to optimize the passagge to the breakfast room and to install some anty slip measures in the shower.

Pleasantly surprised! Worth it for the rooftop bar

We booked through Expedia, not realising the TSH Florence meant The Student Hotel Florence. After reading reviews I noticed that a lot of the 5 star reviews only have 1 contribution and thought they were fake. I must admit that we did panic and try to cancel and change to another hotel (which wasn’t allowed as part of our booking) and honestly i’m glad it we didn’t! We are a couple who are both 30, so by no means student ages and my husband is a hotel snob…. and we really enjoyed this hotel The staff at the front desk were helpful the 2 occasions we had to get in touch and sent prompt help. We didn’t get fresh towels everyday and the bed wasn’t made however we were only here for 3 nights. If we asked for fresh towels we got them. The room itself was small but cosy, no issues with noise. The shower was good, no issues with pressure or temperature. For a short city break it was exactly what we needed. Hotel is a short walk to the centre and you will pass a lot of lovely restaurants and bars on the way. Tram line is also close which we used to get to the train station (about 3 stops away). The best part of this hotel was the rooftop bar. We didn’t eat here but the drinks were good, view is amazing and like a picture! We didn’t book the first night but got seated no problem, then booked for the next night. The rooftop bar is what makes this hotel! We didn’t use the pool during the day as we wanted to spend time exploring the city rather than sunbathing so not sure what it is like during the day. We visited September so that may have also contributed as not peak season but the hotel did still seem busy. Overall, if I was to return to Florence I would stay here again.

Modern hotel perfect for young travellers or business travellers.

This hotel is massive, you can easily get lost trying to find your way to the exit or the bar. Roof top bar is a nice addition, even in the winter. Worth going up to just see the view. It’s quite a walk from the main centre but not too bad. The room is clean and spacious, we were lucky to have a balcony. You can hear quite a bit of the road noise through the night so maybe if your a light sleeper ask for a room off the main road. We didn’t use the gym or the restaurant.
