This place accepts pets for a very small fee, thus we stopped. It is obvious they are in a remodel phase. All rooms are ground level. AC is rather loud. The beds in our room were very uncomfortable and extremely high off the floor, which made it difficult to get into. The staff was very pleasant. The room was somewhat clean. Breakfast was decent but the dining room was a bit dark. All in all, if you need a night while traveling, it is OK.
Hodge-podge of issues

Obvious renovations going on. Neat but dirty if you look close. Some sort of splatter all over lower wall in bath area and on TV wall- Breakfast was good but dining area distasteful. How hard is clean to do ?

I’m not picky & certainly didn’t expect the Ritz but upon entering the room, it was hot, Mississippi in the summer hot; the AC wasn’t even turned on. Then we discovered the shower didn’t work. I picked up the phone to call the front desk & that didn’t work. I goto the front desk & they move us to another room which has two beds so there’s less space for our infant’s crib. This room is also Mississippi in the summer hot which isn’t good for an infant. This room had a lamp missing a light bulb, the TV remote was sketchy, & the WiFi didn’t work. At this point it’s after midnight & after being on the road all day, we didn’t feel like moving to another room much less moving to another hotel. When I asked about getting some money back the next morning, the staff was rude & unsympathetic. They lied about not being able to refund any money saying it was up to Expedia/Hotels.com. After calling Hotels.com, I discovered it was up to the hotel management & they just didn’t want to even entertain giving a partial refund. They bring sucking to a whole new level.
Yep it’s worth it

This place is right off the highway, has multiple places to eat nearby, and a good area on the side for the dog to play a bit. Stayed last year and the ice machine still not working but all in all I’d stay again it’s not the Taj Mahal but as a rest stop for one night it works. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, you can’t beat the price, and that’s all you need.
Good place to stay

Very clean.. It had coffee, refrigerator and microwave in the room. Especially for the price, it was a very good place to stay. Some people expect way too much out of a lower price room. If you want an elegant room then you are going to pay the price.
