The room and nats/fruit fly's

I noted later in the evening small bugs flying in the room. Later I noticed the seemed to be come from the shower and bathroom sink drain. It was later in the evening I did report it to the hotel staff when checking out. I am not sure if the issue had been addressed.

Very Disappointed in hotel

We have stayed at this hotel many of times and the last two times the room has not been clean and the room looked really old. Not sure that we will stay at this location again unless it gets updated in some way

A DUMP!!!

To our utter shock, This Hampton Inn has severely deteriorated. It used to be a very clean and well-run hotel, one we always looked forward to staying. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was terrific. BUT—-on a trip going south in August, we went to check in and no one at the desk. Took time to holler to get attention. Then—our rooms. Yes, plural. We walked into our room, and were SHOCKED: carpet was dirty, Really dirty. I’d say it hadn’t been vacuumed for a few days. Full wastebasket., litter (Kleenex, food wrappers). All the surfaces were loaded with dust, even in the bathroom. There was enough hair in tub and on the floor to demand a new room. Some random woman who was barefoot and in an altered state of mind, finally came up, opened the door to the next room. And then it was Groundhog’s Day! This room was almost as filthy as the first—-and in exactly the same places. We had to stay that night, (and it was impossible to relax) but NEVER AGAIN. I don’t know how it happened. It was always clean and welcoming. I believe the Hampton chain is starting to get old and tired; allowing their buildings to get this dirty and disgusting. Sad. And bad business. Guess we’ll stay across the road:

Terrible service

Desk clerk did not answer phone when we called to book a room. This should have been a red flag! We had to call the Hilton toll free number to make reservation. When we arrived at the hotel (8pm) we were assigned a room that was not ready. The door was open, there were dirty towels on the floor where it looked like the refrigerator had leaked. We immediately called the front desk, and again there was no answer. We went back to the front desk and there was no one there. We yelled, and no one responded. We went to the house phone and called the front desk and it rang for about 15 minutes! Finally, the clerk came in hotel entrance while laughing/talking on her cell phone. She asked what we needed while she was still on the phone. After telling her the room was not acceptable and we had been trying to get a hold of her for 15 minutes, she replied that she was doing a property check. The new room she gave us was cleaned, but simple things like not tissues and no toilet paper. I might expect this service and product from a Motel 6, but not a Hampton Inn charging $133 per night!

Need to focus on cleanliness!

We booked two rooms on the way down to Myrtle Beach. This was the first time we have stayed at this Hampton Inn but we have stayed at many on the way to MB each year. When we got to the rooms, the bathrooms were still dirty and the carpet needed to be vacuumed in spots. The common areas downstairs were also in need of some additional cleaning. The pool is closed for the season due to a “maintenance issue”, and the ice machines and water fountains were all out of order. This may have been due to covid but not evident from the signage. Also, the fitness room was non-existent as it looks like they are remodeling it. Breakfast was fine and there were no issues with that
