Front Desk Rep Lied and Tried to Over Charge Us

TL:DR- I booked but did not stay. The front desk thought I was an easy target and tried to make me pay extra. The men at the front desk are also spiteful and rude. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. The customer service here is terrible. If you're a woman or "other" in your appearance, forget getting good customer service. If you're a man who looks "normal" you might be alright... maybe. The men at the desk were rude to me from the moment I walked in the door. I saw them see me come in and they sat on the couch behind the counter for a good while before getting up to check me in. Then the guy started yelling at me when I told him how many people would be in the room with me. I booked through Orbitz originally. I made a mistake and did not book the room with my 2 children under 10. That was totally my fault. I went to try and add my children through the service and could not do it. Orbitz told me it would be a total of $20 to add my kids. DK or the other man at the front desk told me it would be $60- to add the children. There was too much of a discrepancy between what Orbitz was telling me and what the men at the desk were saying. I ended up getting a full refund. That is a good thing on the hotel's part but that's about it. I booked the same hotel through another website for less days because the refund was being processed and I would not be able to access that money to book my original stay. I planned to add more days later on when my refund was processed but I am actually glad this did not happen Anyway, I booked through Hotels.com to make sure my children were paid for. Hotels is my go-to but I foolishly thought I could get a better rate because I had some Or-bucks. Turns out that the Hotels.com price with the children WAS THE SAME as it was without them through Orbitz. There wasn't a penny of difference. ^^^ This is in line with what I have known to be true about booking with Red Roof Inn in general. I have never had to pay extra for my 2 children to stay at a Red Roof Inn regardless of the booking site. I later found out KIDS STAY FREE. This is on the Red Roof Inn website and applies to all franchisees if I understand correctly. So, this pair of men either did not want me to stay at their hotel or wanted to cheat me out of my money because they thought he could. This is just my personal opinion. The man at the front desk, DK I believe it was, took my previous cancellation personally or as a way to refuse me service. The new booking site called the hotel and DK would not answer. Apparently, Fatima answered the phone. So by now, I am frustrated. The customer service reps were rude, lied about kids being extra, and then they threatened to keep the full amount for what I paid for a room without actually checking me in. Luckily, the new booking site had better customer service than the old booking site because they were able to deal with the Red Roof Inn franchisee, fix my problem, and book me at the much nicer hotel across the street (The Country Inn) for no extra charge. You want my advice? Even if you are a man DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. DO NOT use Orbitz. Their competitor, Hotels.com has better customer service. Hopefully, not spending money at this place will run them out of business because I can't imagine I am the only one these men have done this to. This is the only Red Roof Inn I have ever had a problem with and if I could give it -10 stars I would.

This place deserves a 0. I reserved a nonsmoking room. Here’s what happened: Room #1 — No Heat Rooms #2, 3, and 4 — these were smoking rooms, even though they claimed the rooms were nonsmoking. I saw bugs crawling across the floor in one room. Filthy rooms with a strong smoke/mildew stench. STAY AWAY.

How these people are open is a SHOCK. As previous reviewers have said conditions were abysmal! Red Roof would do well to revoke their association with this family of misfits. I have stayed in some pretty bad places. Well I thought I had until I stayed here!! The bedspread had HUGE stains on it, see pix. The ONE chair in the room looked like it had been dragged around the parking lot then placed in the room. Our bare feet NEVER hit the floor, the room had NOT been cleaned prior to our arrival. we never set our dog down on the floor which had not be vacuumed at all. My wife, dog and I left here, Ubered to a restaurant, got rip roaring blasted and then Ubered back to pass out on top of the sheets and then leave early in the morning. Do yourself a HUGE favor - NEVER EVER stay here. I wouldn't wish this place on my ex!! Well maybe, but I digress. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

I have been staying here since March for work and have been dealing with a severe skin reaction since my first week of checking in. After a couple visits to urgent care being told bed bugs was a possibility I flipped over the mattress this past week to find an Infestation of bed bugs! This week I stayed in room 132 and was transferred to 135 both with bed bugs. Mama garment refused to believe me after leaving the mattresses turned over so they could see, showing pictures of the bugs and my skin reaction. Originally, I thought it was a reaction to the covid vaccine or their laundry detergent but it’s evident now that it’s bed bugs! Do not patron this disgusting motel.

This hotel was the most disgusting hotel we have ever stayed in. It was filthy dirty! There was so much dust and hair everywhere. The ceiling in the shower was falling down, we were waiting for the people above us to come crashing down while showering. No way was the room sanitized . I complained to Red Roof Inn customer service and their reply was..this hotel is privately owned therefore not their responsibility . Do not stay here, you are safer sleeping in your car. I will never stay in a Red Roof Inn again. The only reason I did was because it was late and I have a pet.
