We loved our stay!

We loved our stay at The Lodge Above Town Creek. The room was decorated so cute and it was a large room with a large bathroom. We loved the walk in shower. The picnic breakfast basket each morning was wonderful! One morning we ate breakfast by the pool and fireplace. It is within walking distance to all the shops. Check in and check out was easy and everyone was so nice. We will stay here again!
Lovely boutique hotel in Fredericksburg

Our suite was very pleasant and comfortable and the around - the - corner access to the main shopping/dining area of Fredericksburg was very appreciated. Our suite was pleasant and comfortable and the breakfast basket was a nice touch. The only slight disappointment was the (small) size of the television (Red Sox cs Tampa Bay playoffs). By the way, The Museum of the Pacific War was definitely worth the visit, although you need a full day to get through it all (maybe even more!).

We went to do a Friday Wine-Tour and weekend Octoberfest. The lodge was charming pool was nice and everyone very open and friendly. Honestly was a stress getaway from the job and was so nice to do happy hour there and walk to the Octoberfest activities. Attached a photo at night (hope i don't get in trouble with my cigar it was late, outside and no smoke to bother anyone). Oh the baskets in the morning outside room for breakfast a nice touch.

Recently stayed in room #5. Picked this room over the others for the walk in shower and the table in the room. Although the price for the room was higher than others in the Fredericksburg area, the pictures looked great. I'd have to say I was very disappointed. The room was small. There was only one stuffed chair to sit on and no desk or other place to place items. The TV did not work correctly and if you were fortunate to get it on a channel you had no option other than to sit in bed to watch the TV (Which I do not like to do). The pillows on the bed were very hard and most were for decoration not sleeping. Although there was a walk in shower the bathroom sink had very little flat surface area to place your toiletries on. The general appearance of the room was very worn. As an example the two light switches near the door were falling apart and I'm sure at some point would become a safety issue. On the plus side the common sitting area on the outside near the pool was very nice but at the rates this place charged I'd normally expect a private outdoor sitting area. I could not recommend the place and I doubt I'd ever return.
Lovely stay at the Lodge

We checked in on Friday, 9/24 afternoon for a 3 night stay. The location to all the Main Street attractions is so convenient. It is only a 15-20 minute drive on 290 to the most popular wineries, Allstadt Brewery and Luckenbach. Our room was very comfy with loads of space-- Room #2 is two story with the bed and bathroom upstairs. It has a HUGE shower only. The closet is quite short and dark, with 6 hangers, so pack your own. You use steps to climb into bed, but the linens and bed are of high quality. With shutters closed it is dark and cozy. There are two large leather chairs to lounge in upstairs too. Shampoos, conditioner, body wash and adequate towels are provided. On the lower floor, you will find a dorm-sized freezer/frig combo, microwave, ice bucket, wine glasses, coffee maker and coffee, mugs and water bottles. They also have a display of wine you may purchase. This area has a nice leather sofa, 2 wing chairs and a table with side chairs. There are TV upstairs and down. Free WiFi too. The property's amenities are very nice-- plenty of tables, chairs, sofas, pool side chaises for large groups to gather. We had 14 staying at the Lodge. The fireplace was lit each evening where we gathered to share the days experiences and enjoy good local wines. I would have given them a 5 star review, but the "Chef Inspired" breakfasts were disappointing. The first morning it was delivered in a cute basket and contained 2 pancakes, 1 sausage, small jar of grapes and 2 cans of pineapple juice. The second morning contained canned V8, a small jar of watermelon and a McDonald's sausage biscuit (we were told upon check out Monday that a mix up happened at the breakfast taco place). The third morning we found a Mason jar of orange juice, scramble eggs, hash brown, a piece of toast and jar of mixed fruit. This was not really the gourmet breakfasts were expecting. I did share my disappointment with the Manager upon check-out, and she assured me a new Chef will be on staff mid-October. At these prices per night, we expected better.
