Great hotel

Reviewed 27 february, 2023

Great hotel. First…The front desk woman was so nice. Check in was breeze. Second…hotel lobby was clean. They had coffee and hot chocolate, tea area. Thirdly…the rooms were clean and updated. The bathroom was updated and the furniture was updated. The bed was so comfortable. The TV didn’t really have good channels. Fourthly…if you don’t have a car it’s far from any food places but there is a subway and McDonald’s that is walking distance. Maybe 15 minute walk. Number 5….Breakfast was on 🔥. Bacon, oatmeal, waffles, eggs, bagels, breads, cereals, real orange juice, real apple juice and of course all the fixings. Check out was a breeze. Definitely will be back.

We stayed down the street at the LaQuinta Inn two weeks prior to booking at the Hampton. LaQuinta was awful. The area is not exactly the nicest around town but LaQuinta nearly ruined it for us with their horrible customer service, dirty rooms and NO hot breakfast etc. We took a gamble on Hampton and struck gold! Madonna is an incredible person who listened to our needs and accommodated us reasonably. She treated us with great respect and made sure our stay was enjoyable unlike our last visit to the city at LaQuinta. We may not be back anytime this year but next year when and if we do this is the spot for sure. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, not great but edible for sure. They had complimentary items and again all staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks all of you for your help and we’ll see you on our next visit.

Excellent customer service

Nick, at the front desk, was caring, helpful, and considerate. This was especially appreciated as part of our luggage was lost (unrelated to our stay at the hotel). Nick was there to offer simple things, like a phone charger or advice, that made the whole experience that much better. I travel a lot but this level of service and care is rare.

Very convenient for my business

The hotel is a Hampton so it lies up to the standard one would expect. Everything worked and the breakfast was reasonably good. Shower curtains had been removed because of COVID but they are needed as the floor gets very wet in the bathroom. Not so good for anyone without a car .... you have two choices ... McDonalds or Subway.

Dated but still has value

One of the oldest Hampton Inns I have ever stayed at but is still in a good location with a fine complimentary breakfast. So the carpeting is a bit faded but long term employees serve with pride. I will return - avoid room 230 unless you want a continuous “Tibetan singing bowl@ experience in that bathroom (ringing whether light/fan was on or off).
