Settle or Go For Better
Pros: Location Quiet at Night Cons: Service Housekeeping Value This hotel is located in a terrific location being close to a lot of shopping, restaurants, and near two major toll roads. For all the activity at the hotel, sleep hours were quiet, for the most part. One evening someone pulled the fire alarm and we had the pleasure of hearing the ear piercing alarm for 15 minutes. Upon entering our room after checking in we found the dishes and silverware in the dishwasher marked as "Clean." Well, not exactly. There was dried food on the plates, a brown smear on a plate, some of the glasses were cloudy and had lip marks, and the silverware had dried up food on it as well. We went ahead and put soap in the washer and washed them again. And? They all came out clean. For all the stated extra cleaning said to be done because of COVID this is was glaringly contradictory. There appeared to be families staying extended stays at this hotel. Our second morning there we heard a woman knocking on the door next to ours and calling out, "Mom! Mom, open the door. You need to drive me to work...Mom open the door! Expletive...expletive" and walked away. One evening I went to the front desk to get tokens for laundry and a man and his daughter were talking to the woman at the desk about housekeeping. He was saying he was fed up with being told housekeeping would come clean his room but then they wouldn't show up. He said he was tired of taking out his own trash. I understand his frustration and I was only there for 6 nights. I am tired of hearing COVID-19 as an excuse for lack of services. My husband and I travel a lot and lately, in Houston and other hotels in the Dallas area, full housekeeping is in force again as are hot breakfasts and social time in the evenings. This hotel offered none of that. For "housekeeping" you had to put your dirty towels and trash outside the door of your room and a bag of towels would be hung on your door knob each morning. For two occupants we were given 2 bath towels, 1-2 hand towels, and 1 wash cloth. When asking the front desk for another wash cloth we were told by one of the employees that she would look to see if there were any available, but there might not be, and of course if she left the front desk people could show up to check in or the phone could ring or someone else could need help. After days of frustration we did our own linen picking in one of the linen rooms that was left open. If management wants to save money by not offering all services then the price should be lowered to be commensurate with services offered. We travel so much that we won't settle for this degree of thirst for profit, and to be using COVID as an excuse is disgusting. The competing hotel chain outshines this one.
Trip to see grandchildren
Room was nice with two queen beds and a pull out sofa. Pool and workout room was open to 50%. No whirlpool. stanfard size refrig and freezer. kitchen with stove top. Bathroom was clean, as weeo, general room. no cleaning avialable. room pricewas not expensive.
Fantastic hotel!!
This was my first time staying at A Homewood Suites but it's definitely not my last. It was little a small apartment and I really loved that. This was by far these cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in as well. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
Love this hotel
Always friendly staff! Rooms and beds are very comfortable! Convenient to all shopping and restaurants! Breakfast was good! COVID protocol clearly explained. We love to stay here when we visit Frisco!
Very Nice, Comfortable & Safe Propoerty
Notably nice accommodations. Relatively new property. Felt safe withy their Covid-19 protocols. Quite comfortable room. All staff members we encountered were anxious to make our stay as perfect as possible. Hanna, Vickie & Casey were rock stars. Great ambassadors for the property. Limited (due to Covid-19) hot breakfast was very good.
