We visited the town of Fulda on our unexpected trip to Germany, through covid 19-times. Never been here before and slightly lost. But everything changed, when a young waiter at the orangeri next to the hotel spontanelesly started telling us about the history of the marvelous paintings on the ceiling. The same waiter later served us dinner at the Dianakeller restaurant in the cellar of the Maritim hotel am Schlossgarten. Even if he was very busy, because of many visiting and hungry guests, he took his time to serve us with a smile behind his mask and in a very friendly, very polite and serviceminded behaviour, with made us feel very welcome instantly. We will always remember Fulda because of this most pleasant experience! Thank you J !

The hotel itself is comfortable but a bit out of dated. The building is a couple of minutes walk to an amazing garden, a 1500-year-old church, municipal office and many other interesting places to explore! Plenty of coffee places, restaurants and shops within walking distance too! Fulda is a pretty town and worth visitors’ attention for a relaxing day to enjoy the tranquility.

Our room was spacious and comfortable with a wide wrap around balcony. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well located The service was excellent. And where else can you get the best breakfast in the world ( German breads, meats, specialities, yogurt, cereal and fruit ETC spread over 3 serving tables, ) There is nothing you could imagine for breakfast that was not served here! And the room is literally a castle ballroom--classically elegant with high windows overlooking a gorgeous garden! A few steps away is the castle, the castle gardens and the cathedral. The main town ( a beautiful mix of old and new ) was only a few blocks further.

The waiter outside (in the garden) on Saturday night was absolutely hopeles. Unfortunately, we felt we participated in Fawlty Towers - we could also follow all the mistakes and funny things happened at the other tables (with native speakers, which we are not) - but this was not only a language problem; that was the smallest part of all the strange things happened before we finally decided to move inside to "Diana-Keller" - and that was indeed a good decision: Fantastic service, good food, nice atmosphere

This place was just beautiful. The grounds are so relaxing and just lovely to walk around. We had superior rooms and they were nice. The doors open up and a beautiful breeze came in to keep the room from getting too stuffy. The staff was helpful and nice. It’s a super lovely walk to the center of town (10 min) where there are plenty of restaurants. The champagne breakfast has a large variety. It was lovely to bring friends over to enjoy it too. I would definitely come back here again.
