On arrival the hotel looked fairly well presented. The rooms were as pictured however they needed some attention ( only minor things and easily fixed ..toilet seat broken, window unit broken down, headboard loose ) and the cleaning could be improved. The hotel in general has huge potential to be lovely, maybe as we were out of season we didn’t see it at its best. Lovely outside area which I feel had been neglected over the winter. Pool would be fantastic in the summer but again was unkept. Breakfast was usual continental style. Evening meals choice of 3 dishes each night and most were ok. One night we arrived at dinner and the whole restaurant was decorated for a function which left us feeling a little awkward as they put a table up the corner of the room and told us not to worry as the function guests wouldn’t eat until later! We quickly ate and left which wasn’t great they should have given us a heads up as we had eaten there every night prior. Parking also available on site. Note.. I had to rate this as ‘average’ but I do feel it was a bit better than average but just not ‘very good’

We stayed at this wonderful venue for our friend’s wedding near Galatina. Hotel was great: very helpful staff, good rooms and fantastic pool. Lovely grand piano in the foyer perfect for group singalongs.

We visited the hotel hermitage in July 2018 for a wedding. We stayed for a few days and found it to be a welcoming and immaculate place to stay. I feel that this part of Italy is off the beaten path for English tourists and this is an absolute travesty. The hotel is a very reasonable taxi ride from Brindisi airport and is perfectly located to explore the southern heal of Italy (although you'll definitely want to rent a car to do this, they are available at the airport). The staff at this hotel really make sure you are taken care of and the facilities, food and rooms are perfect. If you are looking to explore southern Italy, I can really recommend this hotel as a starting point.

Wonderful hospitality at The Hermitage. We visited for a friend’s wedding and it was a great location. Galatina is nearby and the coast is only half an hour drive. The hotel has a wonderful pool and the staff are incredibly friendly.

We stayed for 10 nights at this hotel in june. Our room was clean, the bathroom was spacious and towels changed daily, we were pleased to have a large balcony, but not all rooms have them so would advise you to ask if you want to sit out on your balcony with a glass of wine. The hotel is situated about one kilometre from Galatina, so we would recommend you hire a car which would enable you to see all of the "heel" of Italy. Breakfast was good, eggs cooked to order and the restaurant food in the evening was excellent. However it was the owner Francesco and the staff who made our stay so pleasurable. All the staff were pleasant thoughtful and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, we were very sad when our holiday came to an end. We would definitely recommend this hotel
