Perfect Blend of History and Comfort

I only visited Gettysburg for two days, staying here one night, and had a great experience. The staff was extremely friendly and professional, offering suggestions for area restaurants and tips on where to go while in town. The hotel was clean, classy, and the perfect spot to stay. The blend of the historic building and decor with modern amenities was done very well. When I return to Gettysburg I will be staying here again.
Trying to be kind

First, staffing of Gettysburg hotels and restaurants have taken a HUGE hit. Replacements: unexperienced/uncaring Liberal Arts freshmen. Advice for Federal Point Inn Front Desk Staff (who I will not embarass by naming): 1. Remind guests making Res for Sun-Tue that the Inn's Pub is CLOSED those days. 2.When elderly guests check in, don't ask "Oh, this room is up those steps- you alright with that?"Try"We do not have elevator service would you prefer a room on the ground floor." 3.When elderly guests are carrying several heavy items up those steps and get halfway up them, don't look over your shoulder and ask "Ya need help with that?" Try grabbing a bag before getting to the steps and KINDLY saying "Here, let me help you with that." 4.When asked about a restaurant, don't make a face of disgust and shake your head but simply hand over the recommended list. 5.When asked where the GO PUB is, don't vaguely point over your left shoulder saying"that way a few blocks"- try"5 min walk east on Chambersburg St (Rte 30)". 1st day, more to come later

Very nice place, converted from from an old schoolhouse. Stayed in the King Suite and it was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. Great staff, hot coffee in the morning. Walk to the downtown circle's restaurants and bars.

We just spent 5 days here, & it’s our 5th time staying here. Well, not to much to say about that, those numbers speak for themselves! It’s quiet, you would swear you’re the only room occupied. Immaculately clean, staff so welcoming & friendly. Stayed in room 310, & usually always try to stay on the top floor. Classy hotel!

Great hotel centrally located in town. Staff, especially in the bar and restaurant, super friendly and interactive. Rooms, decor, theme, all terrific. Great location but request a room on the left side of the hotel as your facing the building. Very busy highway that cuts through town on the right side. Also suggest requesting an upper floor, as we had some ceiling noise in the morning. Short walk up the hill behind the building to Seminary Ridge and Confederate Avenue. They have a restaurant for evening light food. Great diner across the parking lot for breakfast. Oldest school building in town and they do a good job of integrating that history with the battle theme.
