We left after work for a long weekend get away on July 22, 2021 about 10pm we stopped here for the night on our way to Gatlinburg Tn. The staff was very friendly, we elected to get a smoking room ( which was around back and on second floor) so we expected there may be a stale smoke smell. To our surprise there was not a smell but the room was disgusting. Both bed spreads had numerous cigarettes' burns all bed spread and when you pulled that cover back the white sheets looked as if they had not been laundered as there was stains on them, the walls were very dirty and the sink had some kind of big burn in it. We thought ok we have blankets in car will make due for one night since it was getting so late and my husband couldn't drive anymore. About a half hour of being in our room , ( THANK GOD MY HUSBAND SLID OVER THE SECURTIY LATCH )our door opened , and this man stood there looking at us through the one inch crack, the black gentleman apologized for the intrusion as my naked husband jumped up and slammed the door back shut ! " saying sorry man" What that told us was his electronic key was keyed to our room as well or he would not have been able to open our door at all as it was closed! We tried to report this the next morning as we checked out but no one was in the office to do so, we just returned our keys and got the heck out of that place. Unfortunately I would absolutely not recommend this place and feel as if they need to check there electronic key cards to insure each guest in the future is safe once in their room. I cant speak for all of the rooms, but the one we had was terrible..
Horrible Customer Service & Dangerous Room

I checked into this hotel and within an hour I was leaving. I brought my dog with me and he was sniffing around the room. He found a PILE of left behind pills and was licking them. I was unsure if he ate any by the time I got over to them. I then called the front desk and the individual at the desk stated to me that the hotel has received awards for cleanliness and it was the first time ever. I then went to the desk to ask for a refund to check out. He continuously pointed to the awards of cleanliness. I shared with him that was not the case in my room and I needed to take him to the emergency vet. He then BLAMED ME for the pills and told me they must have been mine since they are always clean. I then asked for a refund and said I needed to go. He then told me I didn't complain for the first hour so they must be mine or not an issue. I then asked to speak with a manager, and he made a call and got me a refund. I then tried to call today asking to speak with a manager - the first 2 times an individual told me they were unavailable, the next time I called the same individual claimed to be the manager. I was very upset with this experience and will not be going back to Econo Lodge. I also encourage all to check their room's cleanliness.

We needed a place to stay for a few hrs. Checked in at 1245am because we were tired. I did not book on booking because we were not sure how far we would go, and usually you get a better deal directly with hotel. Went in office and he would not accept the lower booking price ($7 lower) so paid their price, he said he was unable. (Past experience hotels can can will match price). Left at 730 am to head to our destination.
There is no parking in back of hotel. Sso if your room is in back, you park up front and have to walk around.
Room was no bad, beds were smaller than normal ( looked like a double but still seemed small) Fridge, microwave, TV, dresser, coffee maker, etc. was provided.
Bathroom was clean and had an extra roll of tpipet paper as well. No tissues in room. Small bottle of hair stuff along w a bath bar was in room.
No carpet which is nice, bedspreads had a few burn holes. Pillows were comfortable. Bed wasn't bad.
Nice little hotel.

My Husband and I stayed at this Econo Lodge while on our way to New Jersey, being honest, we NEVER stay at Econo Lodges, as they are usually pretty gross, but this one is totally opposite, it is VERY clean and the staff is super friendly. The beds were a little too hard for me, but it wasn't a deal breaker. The pillows were not the best, but again, not a deal breaker. The owner offered to replace the pillows, but it was fine. The ac was ice cold, the rooms have been remodeled. We will definitely return to this hotel when we are coming through Virginia.
Fine for a one night stay en route home

Hotel rooms seemed clean. Ice machine was broken but office offered to give us some until it was fixed. Coffee maker made only one cup and produced a number of bursts of steam which was unsettling. FYI: there are two levels and no elevator.
Located very convenient to I-81.
