My stay at quality Inn in Glenwood Springs
Reviewed 23 november, 2021
My family and I stayed at the Quality Inn in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. We stay at the Quality Inn so we can swim at the Hot Springs pool. These are the things I liked about the hotel: They had a nice breakfast I could take back to my room. I also liked that they had good TV channels and a flat screen TV. The pool and hot tub were nice. The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel was that the elevator was down. I would definitely stay here again! I give the hotel 4 stars.
Good value for price

Just stopped in for the night, yes had a river view so that was nice. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. Just a note, no where to sit to eat breakfast so hang on to room key before checking out! Staff wears masks but no one coming or going has to if that is a big deal to you travelers.
Excellent location !

Hotel is on the River (Colorado river) and behind is the beautiful mountain ! Very nice and clean room ! If you are planning to visit Maroon Bells for sunrise, this is the perfect place for reasonable price to stay! Felt the service at the reception was not great but not bad.
Difficult locating hotel

GPS had a difficult time locating this hotel as it sits back from the road and almost behind another hotel. At any rate, the location was quiet with the river right behind it and river walkway for a nice walk. Reception was good. Friendly and efficient. Room appeared to be clean but we did see a coffee stain on the bedside table. Halls and elevator were clean. Room had sufficient lighting and hot water on demand. Beds were ok but nothing special. At least they didn't sag and gave good support. Breakfast was hot with eggs, potatoes, sausage, hot cakes etc.
Very outdated but quality service

The customer service was good, but our room was super out of date and run down. The bathroom was the worst -- rusty door jamb and shower curtain rod; squeaky and loose faucet; sink drain plug stuck in the closed position (we just removed it for our stay); gouges in the floor tiles; rust in the bottom of the toilet that at first looked like something that didn't get flushed down; moldy, peeling and water-damaged wallpaper; rickety and leaning towel shelf/rack; cracked glass on the nightlight. The mattresses were super saggy and caused back aches, but upon request, they were able to replace one of the mattresses for us (thus the good customer service). It was hard as a board, but we'll take firm over soft any day. TV was tiny compared to what's in most hotels now; nightstand was scuffed and worn. But A/C worked great! Nice and cold. Lastly, with COVID, they still hadn't reinstituted dine-in seating for breakfast and required guests to take their breakfast to their rooms or the patio. I'd strongly suggest the hotel get some cafeteria type trays so guests can carry their breakfast back. It was very hard to juggle everything and still use your key card, especially since the patio was accessible only through a locked door to the pool area. I feel sorry for parents who may have been trying to gather food for everyone and juggle all the plates, bowls and cups.
