Nueva apertura, gran hotel

Nos alojamos la noche de la apertura del hotel. De hecho, no estaba todo terminado, y seguían trabajando en últimos detalles.
Pero eso no fue ningún problema. La verdad es que el hotel es muy agradable, la habitación muy acogedora, la localización es muy buena para visitar Haarlem y el trato muy personal. El desayuno también es para nota: muy bueno.
En definitiva, una muy buena opción para visitar Haarlem.
Penalized for postponing during a Pandemic

Sadly we won’t be visiting this hotel. We were to arrive last year and we’re forced to postpone due to Covid. Initially we had booked two pre-paid non-refundable rooms for August of 2020. We were able to postpone for this year but unfortunately public health guidance and government restrictions from both Canada and the Netherlands prohibit us from traveling again (2021). I tried to postpone once again assuming there might be some grace due to extraordinary circumstances. No. We were told we’d have one final opportunity to choose dates (and they must not be changed again) or we’d lose half our money. I am beyond upset by this. I don’t have a crystal ball and can not confidently know when the world is open again to travel. This hotel has my money. In no way was I trying to take advantage of them. I’ve abided by their rules, rebooked once with an increased rate for 2021 and when I asked for one more postponement I was met with unreasonable conditions. Boutiquehotel has almost $2000 Cdn of my money and I will now never stay there. Good luck surviving during a global pandemic when you treat your visitors this way.

I have spent 2 nights here, one in the Business suite and the other in the Presidential suite. The rooms where one better than the other. The design of each was so intriguing and well thought that each room had a travel vibe to a different part of the world. The service,even in Corona times, was impeccable. Great breakfast, excellent reception service. I felt spoiled, with the homemade cookies, the little champagne for my birthday, the nice living room area with coffee and books. Cherry on the top: The presidential suite has a carbon fiber bath tub, very unique, only few of them exist.

Stayed in a deluxe room with my Dutch partner, sadly for only one night. I loved this hotel from the moment I walked through the door. The decor is quirky and full of huge plants which gave the whole hotel a really fresh feel.. and the smell! Wow! The whole place had the most wonderful aroma. Our room was spacious and modern with high ceilings and a fantastic shower and separate WC. The free tea/coffee lounge was also a lovely touch. Didn’t get chance to use the restaurant as we already had reservations elsewhere but it looked fab and was buzzing with customers.

We had booked three days but choose to stay four. I don’t think I ever stayed at an hotel with such a welcoming and calm design. Every little detail felt like they had planned with extra care, plants, materials, colors, everything really.
The personnel was really friendly in the typical Dutch way.
Thank you for giving us such a relaxing stay!
I might add that Haarlem is a very nice city for walks, shopping and biking.
