Stay somewhere else! I left
Opinión escrita el 16 de julio de 2016
Booked this room on trip advisor via book it.com. I saw a 4 star rating but didn't pay attention to the dates! 2012-13! Only 4 reviews. I was traveling through LA so I just needed somewhere quick. Price was 86/night which is an overpayment of $60! This motel is a one star motel. Stay at a motel 6 or super 8 instead. The office is adjacent to the motel & it's attached to a condemned building. Rotten wood, boards. It's family owned. I looked at the rooms, the beds were dated the wall had a hole in the wall that was patched but not painted the same color of the wall. There's a microwave & small refrigerator but in this day, that's a standard! The room appeared 2/5. I wouldn't be surprised if there are rodents & bugs in this place. Needless to say I asked for a refund through book it. & the owner did refund. I was traveling with my two teen boys. I was told that they were not "little babies" and that in a room with "two queen beds" actually a full & a twin in room they were not allowed! Also, I was told that I could not have visitors (not that I would have) but it I had been in a larger party or visiting family they are not allowed. Also, the parking was very tight & in an extremely sketchy area! I would not leave my items or my car! The owner told me that "it's okay if you go out to buy food" but if the parking is full to park on the side of the condemned looking building! I'm in hotels every week if not daily while traveling & I've never encountered a motel like this. Think of a place where illegal activities take place & that's this location. I did not feel safe. I didn't stay long enough to take pictures!!!! All of the motels in this area looked run down! Liquor stores, fast food, dollar general stores & sketchy people surround this entire strip! A peace of mind is priceless! Stay somewhere else!

Friendly staff

We came to town the same night a big event was going on and all the hotels were full except the Horizon Inn had one room left. We called at 4am to see if we could stay there. The manager was so friendly and helpful even after we woke him up at 4am! The room was decent, clean but needed a few upgrades. It's old but had a working tv, fridge and microwave. No bugs, we felt safe and the price was right.

My daughter and I stayed at the Horizon Inn Motel while she emptied out a storage locker and packed for a move to Portland. The place was clean and quiet. Our room was small so the staff even opened up the laundry room for her bike so we could have more space.

Katastrophales Motel!!!
