This hotel is located in Hatta area of Dubai Emirates. Its very close to Oman border 1 hour drive from Dubai via sharjah Kalba road. One can also reach using RTA bus if own car is not an option. The property has been made on hilly area and surrounded with lot of greenery. Its a good option for escaping from main city's noise. Hotel management has put lot of efforts to make property aesthetically appealing . Rooms are big , cleanliness has been maintained through out the property. Breakfast had good options along with quality food. This property has two restaurants and one bar , you can enjoy shisha in bar too. Over all we had good experience and would love to come back again but only in winter season. I am not sure about summer as its unbearably hot during peak summer time.
Not so dog friendly

Whilst we appreciate the hotel is in a lovely location and the service would normally be very good, when we took the opportunity to bring our dogs we found that the hotel is not actually that dog friendly. The room itself had a large mat for the dogs to lie on and bowls; however, in and around the hotel it had very few spaces for the dogs. Many of the staff were fearful of the dogs and this very much affected service, with one member of staff throwing a key at our table so that he did not have to approach. We completely understand not everyone is comfortable with dogs; therefore, we would suggest that if more designated areas were given to dog owners, then staff, who are comfortable, could be allocated to those areas. The bench area outside, where we were told we could get food, had a function on at the time, so the hotel allowed us to sit at the pool. Unfortunately, the lifeguard was almost aggressive in his manner towards us and was incredibly rude. Again whilst we understand not everyone likes dogs, we expect a certain level of customer service and manners. This was not seen on this occasion and we found it quite intimidating and it made us feel exceptionally uncomfortable. We were made to feel most unwelcome at this time and it certainly made us feel we were doing something wrong. After experiencing the areas and the reaction to staff we very much felt confined to our room. We stayed on our balcony for the day and then ordered room service. However, even the staff who delivered room service were petrified of the dogs and would not come into the room. We had imagined that we would be able to relax in some way around the pool area or there would be designated areas outside where we could enjoy a drink. We completely understand that this concept is in its infancy but we were left quite disappointed by the overall experience and found it quite stressful. As a suggestion, a fenced area where dogs are able to run around would be greatly appreciated. Furthermore, clearly signed and designated dog friendly areas near or by the pool would also be fantastic and really allow people to enjoy the experience.

We decided to visit Hatta for a weekend staycation and booked at the JA Hatta Fort Hotel just to play it safe, not knowing the area and the sort of hotels available. Having reached the hotel I was pleasantly and emotionally surprised by a simple hand written welcome note from the hotel manager, Ms. Deborah Thompson, which left me dumb struck after having travelled the world in the past 30 years. The very first time that I receive a welcome note hand written with a very personal touch. All the hotel staff was amazing throughout our stay and a special mention goes to Sunil, a member of the recreational staff, who really made our family stay fun especially for our boys. A big thank you to all the staff members who made our stay memorable.

Hotel is very nice and the services as well. We had an unforgettable experience at JA Fort Hotel! Additional requests are usually granted. We were so surprised that the hotel gave us extra snacks at midnight even if we did not ask for it. The meeting room is superb as well for a very reasonable price. This is good for meetings of medium-sized company. The view from the hotel is awesome and very relaxing. It is great to relieve some stress.
