Beautiful home

We stayed here a couple of days (two families) in December. The house used to be the residence and office of a local Dr. The family that now owns it beautifully renovated it, the quality of the renivation is surprisingly high. The place has a quaint feeling to it, like if you were at home. The owner was great, she was very nice and took very good care of us. The breakfast is small but good, the food is fresh. We slept very well in our beds, it was calm since it is located in a neighborhood that only has villas. A really nice find and we would stay here again without hesitation.

Spent 2 weeks in Europe visiting the Christmas markets. Colmar was without a doubt the niest of all the cities we visited and the Villa Elyane was the best place we stayed. Great location, quaint and but very roomy, great breakfast and lovely hostess. All in all just the best.

Think before you stay at this hotel

I do NOT recommend this hotel at all. Although well qualified, at times when problems and difficulties arise we can measure the quality of the service provided by the establishment. Due to the national strike of France's rail system (publicly known), which drastically reduced train traffic (up to 80%), I was unable to travel to the city of Colmar. I had a refundable reservation, which became nonrefundable two days before my contact with the hotel, when I informed of the cancellation of my train tickets, three days before the start of my stay (which would allow the hotel to receive another guest). The owner, upon receiving my e-mail inquiring about the possibility of reimbursement of the reservation, showed complete neglect and insensitivity, answering it rudely, with a "sorry". From then on she did not reply to my emails anymore, proving that this is a hotel that has no concern for the guests and aims only at its profit. The hotel owner should have a little discernment and understand that this is a problem arising from the political conditions of their own country, which differs substantially from the assumption that a guest fails to attend due to personal problems.

What a wonderful place to stay!

We stayed here in October. Florence was always there to help us with any questions, suggestions of things to do, and restaurants. The breakfasts were plentiful, and the rooms were immaculate and large. She even let us do some laundry. This place is a gem!

What a wonderful place to stay when visiting Colmar! Our room and bathroom were quite nice and there were several nice common areas for guests to enjoy. The walk to the center of the old town was a little longer than I expected, but not bad. The Villa Elyane owner (who is sweet and very helpful) recommended a restaurant that was close by and very good and we appreciated not having to walk back into town to go to dinner. A nice breakfast was served and the service was excellent. We also appreciated the easy parking at Villa Elyane. We highly recommend staying there!
