We had to find a place to meet our needs. We had a family member ih hospice in Hazzard, Ky. This place went above our needs. They held rooms for us as we needed them and did everythin they could to make sure we didnt need anything. They asked about us every time we walked by or checked in. I cant say enough from manegment to all the workers.

The hotel rooms are looking a little dated but overall a good stay. We were traveling with a group of 16, we had 5 rooms total. One of the rooms had a water problem from the toilet leaking. Took a couple times for them to work on it but they managed to fix it. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quite large. The breakfast was phenomenal with zero complaints from anyone in our group.

Poor service for the price, typical Hazard. I could understand charging this much if the facility was kept up and maintained, but this is ridiculous. $115 a night in Hazard ??? Save yourself the burden and go to Hampton Inn.

Just Nasty!

03/12/22 in town for a funeral. Stayed here and will never do so again. Staff was indifferently nice enough as was the lobby. Breakfast was OK as well. So why you might ask yourself the negative review? The room was just down right nasty. The moldy musty smell was overpowering. The carpet was actually damp and had some sort of fungus like growth in the corners. There was a 1 gallon container of Damp Rid behind the chair with a warning scrawled on top "Do not touch leave alone". The sink had no drain stopper in it, and I failed to notice until I was removing a contact lens. I fumbled and dropped it in the sink. Straight down the pipe it went. A $240.00 dollar contact lens down the drain literally. I called the front desk and asked if they could have someone help me. Sorry sir because of the snow storm we cant get a plumber here until Monday morning. No please don't try to remove the pipe yourself, you will be charged for damages. Like its that hard to unscrew and replace a drain pipe. Needless to say this room cost me more than the $170.00 in the long run. The mini fridge in the room also had issues with the compressor, so that it had a loud annoying squeal. That was easily fixed by unplugging it. The coffee maker might have worked, but there were no cups to try it out and see. The bed wasn't comfortable at all. It was a lower end hard mattress intended for long service life at an economical price point. The lack of a top sheet or blanket was annoying. There was only the bed cover with 4 pillows and the bottom sheet. Lets face it when going to a hotel its not for the flat screen and free breakfast. Its to have a place to sleep. If the establishment cheaps out on this one important aspect by providing an unpleasant mattress and sleeping environment then they do not understand the hospitality industry or their customers needs. This establishment is a shining example of that failure. If I ever again find myself in need of a room in Hazard KY, I would rather sleep in my car than stay here, snowstorm or not!

There was a horrible sewer smell coming from the bathroom sink. Disgusting. We didn't take advantage of the free breakfast. Afraid of what other plumbing issues might be lurking in there kitchen. Pictures had been removed from the walls over the bed. This left chip marks in the walls, Other chip marks were visible on the walls as well. There was no view other than a wall three feet away. It would have been nice if this was disclosed or that there were no other rooms available. Overall appearance was a bit shabby. Definitely not worth the price.
