I had to stay here for a solid month while work was done at my house nearby. This motel is not fancy - very basic amenities in the room, no breakfast on offer, etc. But in my experience, the room was cleaned daily, the staff was always pleasant, and there is a Denny's literally next door if you need a hot breakfast. I usually just had cereal in the room. I had stayed a couple of other hotels in nearby Florissant before finding this hotel. In comparison, this Motel 6 was far and away a better experience than those other hotels. The security on the parking lot was much, MUCH better - I never worried about my car not being safe in the lot, as there are cameras covering every part of the lot. And what's even better - despite the fact that this hotel was cleaner and safer - it was markedly cheaper than the other local alternatives.
Dirty rooms. Uncooperative front desk personnel.

We checked in May 9, 2021. Front desk is on the 2nd floor, our "room" was on the 1st floor. When we got to the room, my wife found blood stains on the sheets. The comforter had cigarette burns on it and the mattress/box spring was filthy. We went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. This next room was also on the 1st floor, and worse than the first room. There were also blood stains on the sheets and cigarette burns on the comforter. There was hair all over the bathroom sink and floor. At sometime in the past few days, someone had spilled something "sticky" on the floor inside the room, near the door. You could tell it had never been cleaned up. We went back to the front desk, told the clerk that we wanted a refund and left the property. It is now 6 weeks later and I am still waiting for a refund. I am sorry that this site does not allow a person to give "negative stars", as I would have given it a -5. My wife was a "housekeeping supervisor" in Las Vegas for over 10 years, and she says that if she were working here, the entire housekeeping staff would have been fired. Absolutely the worst hotel (of any brand) that we have ever checked in to.

March 31 i drove to Madison, illinois for a 4 day drag race at World Wide Technologies Raceway. i friend wanted to come with me so i had to find a room with 2 beds.closest to the track was Motel 6 in Hazelwood, Mo.,16 miles away. after the racing was done we went to the motel, checked in on the first floor and the key cards wouldn't work. so i walked back to the desk to get this resolved. now i am on the third floor but at least the door opens. go to take a shower, no washcloth or soap. good thing i brought my body wash. i noticed that the towels are rough like sandpaper, must be a low thread count on it. other guests on my floor are noisy, no respect for people trying to sleep. April first w ego to the denny's next door for breakfast and off to the track till 6pm.after a meal we arrive at our room, walk in and the beds weren't made and no fresh towels! i let it slide as i am tired but i did go to the desk Friday morning and tell the clerk how we found our room, and no mini fridge! during the Friday night i heard loud voices again, then quiet, then a cops voice, but it was quiet the rest of the night. we went to the desk again Saturday morning and a cop wa glad i only have 1 more night in this joint!s there quizzing the clerk about the nights events and he wrote out his statement. come to find out there was a domestic and a gun was put in a womans face. then the man had run off and was hiding in the woods across the street.

We were weary of staying here because of reviews but decided to take our chances. This motel was nice for what we needed. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfy, and it was quiet. It has a Dennys almost attached to it which was convenient, we walked to it. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Motel 6 Hazelwood is horrid, and Booking.com helps them rip you off

I don't know why this review shows 2.9 stars - just another lie from Booking.com It should be -5 stars. I wish I had checked reviews on TripAdvisor before booking. The hotel confirmed a request for an extra cot in the room via Booking.com e-mail, but when we arrived they said they didn't have one. The night clerk "Joe" was rude and completely unhelpful. It was a 25 minute discussion of not taking no for an answer to simply get an extra blanket and pillow so one of us could sleep on the floor. We were in a non-smoking room, but the room smelled of cigarettes and the bedding reeked like it hadn't been changed. It was disgusting. The stairwells and halls smelled of pot smoke (I don't care that is was weed, only that we were supposed to be in a no smoking wing), there was a smoke alarm in another room chirping all night (that couple told the night clerk, who did nothing about it), one couple came down and said their sink was backed up. There were 2 other couples who came down to complain about their rooms, but I don't know their details. Spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone with Booking.com the 1st night trying to cancel for the next night only to be told they couldn't do it without the manager's approval and they would call in the morning. Booking never called me back. I called them later in the day and spent another 40 minutes on hold only to get the same answer, that Motel 6 would not refund the 2nd night or provide the cot they promised. Called Motel 6 directly and was told they never confirmed the request for the cot, despite the fact that I had an e-mail that says: "We're happy to let you know that the property has confirmed they can arrange this for you. There will be no extra charge for this request." I booked through Booking.com to provide an extra layer of protection. They have provided excellent customer service to me in situations in the past, but I see their values have changed and they are just part of the scam. I trusted the star rating and reviews from Booking to pick this property, but it was a lie.
