I love coming to stay at the Westin at Lake Las Vegas. I grew up in the area, and I don't need the Las Vegas strip. This resort is quiet and it a great retreat to get away from the busy lifestyle of work. I need to use the spa next time we visit.

Hire more housekeeping staff

I don't think that guests at a huge hotel chain such as this should have to call each morning to requests that their rooms be cleaned. Lower the room rate if this is to be the case. And also honour the request if one does call. Also the mattresses, while firm, did not have cover sheets so your feet are basically on the itchy mattress.

I used to use Westins quite regularly, but utilize a competitor and independent hotels for business and pleasure mostly. Since my wife and I were doing a short trip with our pet dog, we stayed here to access Valley of Fire State Park and Lake Mead Recreational Area. It is a good area for that but to access the Village and amenities there, stay at the Hilton if you can. I agree with others as it is still a nice enough place, but is dated and needs spruced up. It is definitely not up to Westin name and communication and housekeeping are issues. The Envoy app does not communicate with this hotel well . Room had no robes, hairdryer ,coffer creamer, toiletries and towels for one. Long time to get rectified. room had many visible dusty areas and on positioning chair to sit on 2nd day found prior guest's dirty sock. The white tile in the hot tub at the pool had brown scum all over it. This would not be my definition of Westin's "cleaner than clean"

You can tell this was a premier property in it's heydey, but now it's outdated and not particularly clean. It smelled older and the windows in our room were dirty/room was meh. Unfortunately, it seems the labor shortage has hit this area hard, so many of the amenties weren't open when we were there on a Sunday. The pool is beautiful, and SUPER family friendly, which wasn't the vibe we were going for. The fire alarms started going off on the whole property an hour after we arrived, and the front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful getting us a refund so we could move hotels.I wish I could give this a higher review just due to the staff friendliness, but it just doesn't reach Westin standards in my opinion. The price should reflect what you get, and unfortunately, it just doesn't.
