We enjoy the free shuttle from the airport,although it takes phonecall and waiting. The room was clean and adequate for our needs. Staff are helpful. We had problem with T V but this could be our ignorance. Breakfast is basic,but adequate. Dining area is restricted. Would stay again
A Total Disaster

I tried to check in around 12:30/ 1 AM. The night clerk was unable to check me in because he had been kicked off the company website for going to undesirable web sites. After trying for about 20-30 minutes, he was able to check me in. All parking spots were taken so I went back to the office. I was told that I could park on the grass near the hotel. When I went back to my car, the next day, I had a parking ticket. For the three days of my stay I went to the office to complain about the ticket & get them to reduce the cost of my stay for the ticket cost. I also complained about being charged for the use of a room safe, which I did not ask for. i was always told that the Manager had to approve the credit but no one could ever reach him by phone. I was finally told that a credit was approved, paperwork had been forwarded and a credit to my charge card would show up in 5-7 days later. Three weeks after my stay I had not received a credit and called the office and spoke to the clerk on duty. H said he would check into to it and call me back which of course did not happen. As far as the amenities and the hotel room: the complementary breakfast was a joke; the bed in the room should have been thrown out years ago. Every time i went into the office, there was always someone complaining. The only positive about my hotel stay was that i was not robbed or attacked at the hotel.

To begin with, it was in a dicey neighborhood. There was a large gap under the door so bugs, snakes, anything could have crawled in. The bathroom had not been cleaned, carpet was filthy! The TV had tape holding it together. The furniture was old and beat up. Their "continental breakfast" consisted of some muffins and coffee & juice. When I told the man I wouldn't stay again, he said the owner is getting ready to rebuild ??? There was someone giving what we assumed was scuba diving lessons in the pool - so it couldn't be used.

There are so many things wrong, not sure where to begin. The room was dirty, bathroom (very small) had not been cleaned. The TV was taped together. There was a sizeable gap under the door which anything could crawl under..bugs, spiders, snakes. The continental breakfast is a joke! Oh, and the neighborhood is not good. Will NEVER stay here again
Horrible experience with Font Desk manager “Manny”

My husband was on a layover in the area, and had lost his phone and credit cards, so I was tasked with finding last minute accommodation for him. I was calling local properties and reached a VERY FRIENDLY woman about midnight (local time) at this Econolodge location. I explained the situation and that my husband was at the airport. She was very welcoming, and said.. “we have one room left”.....so I went to the website and booked the room. Then I called the property back to let the woman know my husband’s description, number of bags, and that he would be there shortly via Lyft. She said...”don’t worry we’ll take great care of him”. We were able to secure my husbands next flight at 6:30pm the next evening. I called the property in the morning, and a man answered the phone. He identified himself as MANNY, and stated he was the front desk manager. I explained the situation, and asked if my husband could have a late checkout, until approximately 5pm. I also asked if there was some sort of additional charge, and was willing to pay an additional fee for the several additional hours.....which would allow my exhausted husband to get a little sleep. Not only did MANNY immediately tell me..”no late check outs past noon”....and anything after that is full night charge..... After I had fully explained the circumstance.....telling him that my husband didn’t have his phone or credit card.....Manny quickly declared..... “Have your husband, or wife, or whatever.....come to the front desk and fill out some paperwork if he wants to stay...and we need a credit card”.... I actually spoke with this man three separate times.....as I called the property direct. After the second call, I went back to the website, and at that point, noticed that MANNY had manually charged our credit card for full price, one additional night. At that point, I really didn’t want to disturb my husband, who was exhausted.... When I got the survey from the corporate office, I filled it out completely, and this morning, received an Email from hotel General Manager Amit Patel (maybe the same person as Manny...don’t know). The email was apologetic, and asked me to contact Mr. Patel at the local location. This is a small independent property, and I suspect that the owners/managers may reside on site (not sure.....this is an assumption)... I replied and indicated that I was not interested in contacting the property directly....as I ABSOLUTELY did not want to EVER encounter “Manny” ever again...... When my husband finally returned to Los Angeles later that evening, I asked him about his experience at this property. He indicated to me that his room was rather “old”....and not the best overall condition. When he checked in at 1am, he felt welcome, but when he departed, I specifically told him to just leave....and not stop at the front desk.....he did stop at the desk to turn on his keys. Solely based on my HORRIBLE and uncomfortable conversations with Manny, especially his INAPPROPRIATE and BLATANTLY RUDE AND HOMOPHOBIC slur about my “husband, or wife, or whoever it is”..... AND.....his quickness to manually charge our credit card for full price for an additional night..... Is CLEAR indication to me.....that this guy could CARE LESS about being hospitable or accommodating to his guests.....he just wanted to get the extra $97 BUCKS! This guy clearly took advantage of an unusual situation, and all I can do as the customer....who paid for two full nights....for a stay from 1:00am to 5pm..... If this EVER happens again......we’d sleep in the airport terminal before we EVER went anywhere NEAR this property!
