I travel a lot for work and stay in many 5 star hotels. My recent trip to Houston was amazing. The reception staff Mimi was very friendly and professional. She had a very upbeat personality. I needed to use the business centre and print out some documents, despite being the only person behind the reception, She was kind enough to help me out. She also recommended few nearby places to visit during my stay. Overall very impressed with the kind of service provided by Mimi. Thank you and looking forward to visit Houston again.


Management did not come through and no elite benefits offered.

No elite benefits offered including not breakfast or restaurant open on site. Titanium member here. Called and spoke to Manager to ask for the Marriott elite compensation that is guaranteed and he said he would submit this but he never did! Don’t trust this hotel or the management. The room was average at best.


Great place to stay in Houston!

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Meridien, it was very clean when we arrived, the only inconvenient was that we requested housekeeping 2 days and they didn't come until the last day. Kerstin at the reception was so nice and helpful with us, she gave us all the information that we needed and many recommendations for our first time in town. Christopher was also very nice and helpful.Thank you very much

From the minute that I arrived at the hotel to the time that I left, the staff was so friendly. Josh and Danny at the Front Desk were very welcoming and made me feel at home! The hotel was beautiful....it was very clean and in a great location. Room service was awesome, very fast and delicious! The hotel provides complimentary coffee in the morning but there is also Illy coffee in the guest rooms which was also very good. The rooftop bar, Z on 23 was spectacular! The views, the cocktails and service were exceptional! I was there for business but I will definitely will be back for pleasure!


Issues with food and service

I booked with Booking, I hold a Genius level 2 and they claim to say that one of the benefits of having that level is free breakfast in any hotel. After that I asked the property to make and early check-in and they mentioned they had to review if it was possible (it’s COVID and not a high season, but ok). When arriving, we found that the early check-in had a 50 dlls extra fee. Left the bags and returned later, and the hotel was not happy about it. When we returned to make the check-in, we felt uninvited after mentioning we were from Booking and after explaining there was no restaurant open (I understand the health measures), we were like oh, surely there’s some grab and go as other hotels we saw when planning the trip. It wasn’t and the price remained the same. They mentioned a partnership with The Nash a local restaurant that could bring dinner to the room. We called two times within the hour services, one even with help of the concierge with no success, and we found that 40 min before closing they just stop answering the phone and receiving orders Later on, in another exchange with the front desk they asked about the situation with Booking breakfast, like I was mad or something with them. So I confirmed that I completely understood that there wasn’t an issue with the hotel, but with booking and that they also should be aware of those deals with them to avoid any misunderstanding. Also, during the check-in the man didn’t explained ANY covid measure, wifi detail, or anything at all. After two days, we found out that due to COVID, you need to make an appointment and ask for somebody go and clean the room which I completely understand, specially if mentioned during the check in (or even in the webpage, to be fair). Overall I liked the hotel, but I didn’t liked the service of SOME people, (others were very nice and helpful) and I didn’t liked the issue with food. I know from other hotels in Houston that even in COVID have managed to still offer an alternative to clients.
